I did my morning workout, went for a 3-mile walk, and then I walked over and got avocados, green onions, cilantro, and a lime I needed to make my green chili soup. Now I am sporadically causing hate and discontent on the web and doing some puzzles on Word Calm, but they are starting to stress me so I will probably have my covid killing snort of brandy and then see if anything sparks my interest on TV.
Today, we are sitting at home, watching NFL Wild Card games, eating popcorn and drinking Bud Light. I just ordered, on Amazon, a livestock corral (for my toy farm/livestock display) and toy Black Angus family (bull, cow and calf). Tonight we will have store-bought pizza, another Bud Light and a shot of Jose' Cuervo Tequila. And, it is snowing outside, or aka "welcome to northern Colorado in the winter!" Love it!!
I got my Covid test result in "My Chart" last night around midnight. As expected, I am negative. (Since I haven't left this damn house since last February except once to attend my brother's funeral in August, I'd be flummoxed if found positive.)
It's good to hear Mrs. Gallagher Covid needs to go far... far away I'm losing my patience with all these restrictions .
Lon - I could not do what you are doing. I just can't stay in the house all day every day. Can't. So I go out most days to grocery or hardware or lumber or drug stores. Always wear a mask, avoid contact as much as possible, practice social distancing, etc. My Significant Other, on the other hand, only goes out for absolute essentials - lab tests & doctors visits. Oops, she also will go out to have her hair done and to get a mani/pedi. Like I said, essential.
In my seniors complex it's like Covid doesn't exist they mingle together they go shopping together as far as I know no one has got sick I wear my mask and stay away from them the best they get out of me is a greeting as we pass in the hallways.
Lon Hope all goes well you look heathy I just cant wrap my head around the US healthcare system I've tried I just don't get it. Herb
Looks are deceiving.I have a Pacemaker that requires periodic checks and a Blood Cancer that needs monitoring
Of Course I am paying for it but these folks have really knocked them selves out and have gone beyond the call of duty to provide for our needs and wants during these trying COVID times.
The sad part is many of these care workers are just making minimum wage so they work at several care homes to make ends meet in the Vancouver area that's how the virus is getting into these homes . My mom's home is run by the Catholic church the care workers are better payed and only permitted to work at the one facility.
Hey, Lon, that was a mighty short vacation from the forum, but glad to see your back. Yes, you do pay a "nice penny" for the service where you live, but judging by your meals, very, very well worth the money.
