Most all Assisted Living Facilities offer Independent Living as well. The transition from being independent to needing some kind of help is easy without having to relocate. Independent Living is less expensive of course.
@Beth Gallagher I am guessing #1 has dentures and thus her reluctance to smile and why she is holding her upper lip tight. Smiling can knock top dentures loose and nothing more embarrassing than having to go reglue your dentures or popping them out, especially at mealtime. @Lon Tanner #1 reminds me of myself except she has nicer prettier eyes and hair. Did you invite either one or both up to watch a movie and finish off some more wine? I like the idea that your place has returned to normal.
My 10 AM appointment for radiation will take no more than five minutes and it will take quite a few more appointments to get rid of those skin cancers on the top of my head. I have become a major contributor to my Dermatologist's Pension Plan.
#1 had never seen Lon without his mask, and #2's Xanax just kicked in. (Just teasing, Lon. I got nothin' better to do today than snipe.)
Sitting in the parking lot after procedure to my forehead. I am waiting in the cold drizzle for the Assisted Living Limo that will take me back for lunch. I'll be back here on the 16th for more treatment.
