Last night for supper,.................... I BOOBED IT..... !!!!!!!!!
I don't often make something that is a total flop but last night it happened..
I made a sweet and sour meatball casserole and please don't ask, but it was way too sweet, rich, and just not edible..
We managed a few meatballs but the rest went into the garbage..... gone !!!
I made it in the slow cooker which is a rather large one and the cooker was almost full with the casserole.. that is how much I threw out..

Hey..... Those sheets are .................. SUPER FANTASTIC....
I grilled my chicken on the sheet and they were fabulous.. The sheet is like a fine mesh that allows the fat to drop like the grill, no stick, and easy to clean...
The reason I am using it is because my BBQ is in perfect shape except the grates are quite deteriorated.. I don't like cooking on them..
I can't find new ones as they don't make them in my size any more.. Using this sheet is the perfect solution..
Now I can put some fillets of fish on the BBQ as I couldn't before because it would fall between the bars of the grate.. I can also BBQ some diced, sliced veggies as well..
    NOTHING STICKS !!!!

Steve--are those the new "copper" sheets for the grill? I have seen those advertised lately.

No.... They are not copper but they are super terrific..
I didn't see the copper ones, just these and the others that are like a solid sheet which is absolutely NO GOOD..
The solid one, everything cooks in its own fat rather than the fat dripping down like a regular grill.. It is more like a screen style .. The solid one is like cooking in a skillet..... exactly...
There isn't anything that I BBQ that doesn't have some sort of liquid in it.. I want to BBQ, not cook it in its juice......

My dearest wife just had an issue with one of her teeth over the week-end..
I kept her on a liquid diet during that time.. Its all fixed now as she saw the dentist today..
Supper tonight, she has asked me to make my vegetable casserole with tuna in it, which I agreed even though we had it last week..
I will make a pudding for dessert..

We had baked whole salmon with wilted greens yesterday. Boy was that good! I especially liked the greens, as we blended them from our greenhouse.

Sounds good Don... Especially that salmon...

    Supper tonight was a BBQ..
I used B/S chicken thighs dry marinated and on the grill..
I also added each a turkey banger as I thought there wasn't enough with only 2 thighs each..
A green salad with my own dressing
S/F chocolate pudding spiked with a bit of cinnamon..

Breakfast was as usual.. 3 eggs each
Lunch... forget it.. nothing... actually a diet ginger ale..

For supper tonight, I will be making chicken drums in the slow cooker..
I will use a BBQ sauce, some stock, soy sauce, herbs and spices.. On low for about 6 hours..
With that, a coleslaw will go very well as well as a sliced up spiked tomato..
Some sort of pudding spiked for dessert..
    Pot of tea..

Breakfast:... each 3 eggs as usual..
