Unfortunately I don't buy liver often enough.. You just got me going on liver.. I will be buying from the butcher some baby beef liver cut rather thick.. a small ton of onions to go with it..
supper tonight will be a stir fry using B/S chicken breast cubed and marinated in a honey/garlic sauce for a few hours first... Onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and peppers will be the veggies.. Vegetable stock added to the marinating sauce..
Tomorrow supper will be either fish or meatloaf... I just bought a new meatloaf muffin tin to make individual mini meatloaves... I would like to try it out.. it is one of those copper ones.. Non stick.. Regardless what I make, I will also make a salad to go with it.. My own dressing is always a huge hit.. Breakfast will always be the same.. 3 eggs each... Lunch will always be the same.... nothing...
We both had a taco salad for our meal today. Lots of romaine,onions, tomatoes, cheese, and spicy jalapeños, and hamburger, of course. I still have been hungry for liver, so had some liver sausage and a dill pickle for an evening snack. Poodle happily shared the liver sausage.
It ended up being a meatloaf in my new muffin tin.. Perfect.. I made some steamed cauliflower to go with it as it was cold and damp all day and we wanted a hot veggie...
I guess today it will be .... FISH ... I have a few different types of fish in the freezer, but salmon fillets are perhaps the most popular here... I like to marinate them with some herbs before cooking.. Pan fry in butter and oil... Now, I know I said a salad, but I have some fresh turnip from the garden that I will cut up, steam, and serve with some butter and parsley.. We like to have a dessert after a meal which means either some fruit or pudding.. I will make some pudding that I will spike first... Breakfast: The usual of 3 eggs each ................ Lunch: As usual, nothing except today I will probably put up a pot of coffee..
Supper ended up being spaghetti with my own homemade sauce using minced chicken... The spaghetti was a spaghetti squash.. Enough sauce leftover to freeze and use another time... Each half of the squash was plenty.. Quite a good portion.. Just to say that I had my spaghetti and meat sauce and it was very low carb...
Yesterday, I made a large cabbage and kale salad for my main meal. Before we left for the fitness center, I had the last slice of liver worst along with some cheese, as a sandwich (cheese was the “bread”). I have some salmon filets marinating in the fridge for when we get back home from swimming today. Steve, do you only use the spaghetti squash for your pasta meals, or have you tried making the noodles or spaghetti from other squashes using a spiralizer ? I tried using zucchini noodles, and they were delicious, but get soft really fast, and the first time, I overcooked them. I am going to try using butternut squash next time. It is much firmer, and a beautiful color.
Chicken drums on the BBQ that I dry marinated first... A fresh salad with my own dressing.. Frozen blueberries with heavy cream... Breakfast:... the usual of 3 eggs each.. Lunch:... Actually we gave each other a BIG hug and kiss.... Now that's very low carb !!!
Today Saturday it looks like FISH for supper... I just bought some frozen fillets of..... something ... that I will prepare for tonight... Pan fry it in butter and EVOO.. I'm not sure what kind of fish it is but I promise you it is definitely....... dead ...... It is a white fish and rather large fillets.. There are 2 fillets that equal 400g which is enough for us... Most likely some coleslaw to go with the unknown dead fish.. A dessert of something would be nice as well.. Some S/F pudding that I will spike with something.. I will make the pudding with 10% cream instead of milk for a richer taste.. With the cooler weather here, a pot of tea after supper should be nice.. Breakfast: ......... should I even bother saying what ???? ........ 3 eggs each as usual.. Pot of coffee...
Here we go again................ Tonight for supper will be ...................... HOK ............. Its cold ... its damp ... its windy ... its just a miserable day ... !!!! I was thinking of a meatloaf but we had it not too long ago.. A casserole is a maybe but what casserole... Whatever !!!! ......................I promise you we will be eating something ....
Well, I took out of the freezer 2 B/S chicken breasts... What I will do with them is something else.. For sure, no BBQ as it is way too windy.. I might pound them thin, bread them in wheat gluten, herbs and spices, and fry them in oil in a fry pan.. Steamed broccoli will be the veggie.. Dessert will be the strawberry youcheese that I made...
Supper tonight was what I call a LAZY WAY OUT.... I took 2 of my frozen chicken burgers and put them on the BBQ.. I also put each a turkey banger as well.. I took a broccoli and steamed it.. THAT'S ALL !!!! Its been one of those days and cooking was the last thing on my mind...
