Thank you, Milla. That's similar to how I stew fruits, too. I was asking Steve because he is a low-carber and I wondered how he prepares his to reduce the carbs.

I CHEAT ...... I BUY MY STEWED PEACHES ALREADY DONE IN A HALF GALLON JAR...
There are about 20 half peaches in a jar .... The sauce is "in its own juice" but the sauce contains sugar from the fruit..
I use the sauce afterwards when I make S/F jello...
A jar is only $3.49... You can't complain about that price.. Just refrigerate and enjoy.....
I keep the empty jars and I give them to someone that will make me some preserves in the fall like pickles, sauerkraut, sour tomatoes, chow-chow, pickled cauliflower and other things..

Yes I am on Low Carb and I will be for the rest of my life.................. BUT ............ I am on maintenance low carb....
It means I have reached my goal and all I want to do is maintain my weight... I allow myself a 5 pound range from my goal.. That's all...

Tuesday is another ... HOK ... day for now, till I work out what to make for supper..
We are in the midst of a major snow storm, so for breakfast a bowl of hot porridge would be nice... A soul food breakfast..

Too full to have dessert.... Too much soup....
Pot of tea but I only took a small sip... Too full .. !!!!..

Mila................ EVERYTHING............... except potatoes and corn...
Remember I am on maintenance which means I can increase my daily carbs, within reason, by having more veggies and some fruit...
Beets also are high in carbs, but we are not big beet eaters other than the pickled ones, and even then we don't go for them very often..
We still stay away from cakes, pies, and those sugary items... Also we don't have any bread or bread like foods..
