What I take are gummies with 30 units of CBD and 0 THC.. They work famously.. I don't get a buzz or get high but get lots of painkiller.......... I buy them at our local cannabis store... I get 30 gummies in a package for just under $10.00 which isn't expensive.. The effect of a gummy lasts for almost 6 hours and doesn't cause constipation or stomach upset..
Last night for supper I got extremely lazy and we ended up ordering a pizza for supper.. A large vegetarian with thin dough which will be for 2 nights.. Last night and tonight..
My wife is a diabetic and she takes Ozempic.. It is a good thing to keep her blood sugar under control;. It works great and she doesn't worry about her readings as they are always perfect...... Naturally she watches what she eats but she can still indulge in something and still have good numbers..
Friday supper was my chicken burgers on the BBQ... Steamed cauliflower with a cheesy sauce over it and parsley ... A fruit salad that I made using red grapes, stewed peaches diced, sliced banana, and a can of pineapple tidbits...
For me and I don't deal with diabetes, about 11 yrs ago I totally eliminated breads from my home and I know it was the best thing to do. Cookies and cakes too and Gluten for the most part.
Chicken breast cut in half thickness and cooked in the skillet in a honey/garlic sauce.. Steamed carrots, potatoes, and string beans.. S/F strawberry jello with strawberry yogurt.. Pot of tea................. Tetley's of course..
do any of you use low carb tortillas ? Many many years ago, went low carb..60 a day. That was the Thing then ,but to strict for me. My eating is nothing as it was years ago. I do have a thing for breads, good ones. I can live without light breads if need be. Anyway trying to revamp how we eat without be overly strict.
I have used the low-carb tortillas, and they seem about the same to me as the regular ones, as far as how they taste and holding up for making a taco or enchilada.
To me bread is dead food and to hear so many say over years, they love bread, can't live without it. We can live with a LOT if we decide to. As a snack I just had 1/2 can tuna, chopped avocado in it and some mayo, no bread and this was probably 6 spoons of good food. Satisfied my little void for now.
supper was fish... I had one piece of salmon and 2 pieces of Tilapia which i cooked all together in a buttery/lemon sauce on the stove.. I served it with my own tarter sauce.. Baked potato, steamed carrots smashed with butter, and a bit of broccoli steamed as well.. Red seedless sweet grapes.. Pot of tea..
Supper tonight was .... VEAL LIVER .... Had 300g of liver... That's a lot ... I eat liver about once a month.. Veal liver is excellent and I like it with a ton of fried onions.. Baked potato, also smashed carrots with butter.. Pot of tea to wash everything down...
I took small B/S chicken breasts and pounded them thin.. I made a breading of flour, breadcrumbs, cornmeal, herbs and spices... I breaded the pounded chicken and fried them in a bit of butter on med heat.. Served with a mushroom/thyme sauce.. Steamed butternut squash smashed, and I mixed in some green peas and added butter.. Pot of tea...........
