A friend in our village brought us over each a meal that she had cooked..
Roast chicken, diced carrots and turnip, mashed potato, and some gravy ..
Each a piece of homemade cake with fresh strawberries and some cool-whip.
I made a pot of tea for after the meal..

It was very appreciated for someone to think about us that way..

Yes Jenna.. We are a small village and we all try to help out each other.. We do the same for others when we can.. Not necessary food, but help in any form is always appreciated..

Supper was a large fillet of salmon that I skinned, marinated with herbs, and pan fried it in a lemony butter then cut it in two..
    A salad..
    Clementine
    Pot of tea..

Yesterday our friend came over and brought us a large container of fresh turkey soup she just made.. We are getting spoiled with friends bringing us some delicious homemade meals.. I must admit it takes a lot of cooking pressure off me.. Not that I can't handle it, but a break is always welcomed as well as a different meal to what I cook..
The soup had all kinds of veggies, some rice and lots of turkey meat..
After 2 bowls each, who wants a dessert..
    Pot of tea...

Yesterday, Sunday, we did our food shopping at several shops.. We came home totally pooped and there was NO way I was going to cook supper..
I ordered a pizza from our local store and that was a supper a treat.. As usual, we like a large pizza with thin crust and vegetarian.. Now, that has 8 pieces which is for 2 nights.. Each 2 pieces is a good meal.. Tonight I will heat up the 4 remaining pieces on a cookie sheet in the oven..

Instead of heating up the pizza from last night, I made us some fish instead.. I don't like serving the same thing 2 nights in a row.. Tonight we will have the reheated pizza..

Tilapia fillets in a pan, not breaded..
A salad and we shared a baked potato..
A clementine and some diced pineapple..
    Pot of tea.....

I took a B/S chicken breast, cut it in half, dry breaded it with spices, and pan fried it in butter and oil..
    Baked potato, peas..
    Clementine
    Pot of tea..
A fast and simple supper as we had the dog to attend to.. Actually we ate in the living room so not to leave the poor dog alone in the living room.. Best we keep an eye on him after his surgery..

Meatloaf............ I made a meatloaf using minced chicken...
I added 1/2 cup of ketchup to the minced along with herbs and spices and some breadcrumbs..
Baked it @ 375f for about 45 minutes.. It was awesome....
There is enough left over for another meal..
A large red baked potato that we shared.. It also bakes at 375f..
Sliced and steamed carrots with a hint of rosemary and butter..
No desert as we were too full after this meal..
A pot of tea was really appreciated..

The balance of the meatloaf but I made a mushroom sauce to go over it..
We like a baked potato with our supper meal, so I make them quite often including tonight..
    Steamed broccoli ...
We like a good pot of tea after a meal.. it helps in digestion..
