One aspect of the forced migration of refugees (forced because they are forcing themselves upon other nations rather than controled immigration) is that among the baggage they carry is a set of laws that they are born and raised under, namely Sharia Law. Here are the tenets of that law:
    https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2013/01/19/islam-the-key-tenets-of-sharia/

At present, Tyler, Tx. is trying an experiment involving the coexistance of Texas state and Federal laws with Sharia Law. Paris did the same thing and even made a no police area for the peoples who practice Sharia making their law greater than the general population of Paris. You see how that is working out in Paris and now in parts of London.

Here's the point. The people moving here are REFUGEES not IMMIGRANTS. Their laws will supercede our laws in such things as adultery, stealing, rape, murder, apostasy, etc. Their form of justice does not recognize the court system of infidels which might lead to another kind of war. i.e. A husband and friends stone his wife for adultery. He is innocent of murder in Sharia law but guilty of 1st degree murder in our court of law. If a woman is raped and she was uncovered and wearing shorts before hand, she deserved being raped. She's an infidel.

    Just some more thoughts......................

A Muslim immigrant new to England was absolved of guilt in a rape because he didn't know that it was wrong to rape a 17 year old girl. Is that really what we want here?

This is getting to close for me. I wonder where our government thinks we are suppose to go when they displace us from our homes and jobs when the new 'immigrants' get here. My big question is why we are letting OUR government do this to us. What are they, or what will they gain from such a stance. Why don't our leaders get the fact that THEY will be of the first to go. What did they think 9/11 was all about?

…and when they say "Two Syrian Families", they probably mean 2 groups of men. We all saw the Syrian migration on TV with our own eyes and it's well reported that they were mostly young men.

Good Post, Diane, and according to this article by NBC news:
The Russian government warned U.S. authorities that Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a violent radical Islamist more than a year and a half before the April 2013 bombing, but authorities missed multiple chances to detain Tsarnaev when he was traveling to and from Dagestan for terror training, according to a soon-to-be released Congressional report.

In one instance, according to the report prepared by investigators for the House Homeland Security Committee and copies of documents reviewed by NBC News, Tsarnaev was supposed to be pulled aside for questioning at JFK airport because he was considered potentially armed and dangerous, but he slipped through undetected because someone had misspelled his last name in a security database.

At one point, the FBI did an investigation, and they found no link to terrorism, so they dropped the file on him.

These are the specialists who are supposed to protect us in investigating refugees that Pres. Obama wants to bring to our country, and when we complain and want further assurance of our safety, he refers to us as whiny etc.

Yet, we're supposed to trust the government to do a good job of vetting Syrian refugees.

Wow, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one concerned about this issue. I can't say how irate it makes me that any state, particularly one that I live in, would consider using Sharia law. It's incompatible with the American system of government, which is the law of the land. Any politician that even suggests using Sharia or any other type of system of 'justice' should lose his/her position.

When I was doing research and investigations, I would check many different variations of spelling, because it's easy to mistype something, particularly when the names are foreign. It doesn't seem that is being done these days, nor does it seem that the government is taking our safety and the security of our country into consideration when making decisions that affect us all.

Another issue that hasn't even been addressed is polygamy. Obviously these refugees will be given assistance, which takes away from what is available to those who are already here. That includes health care, financial assistance, housing, and other types. I've seen articles mentioning how some of the refugees already here have multiple families through polygamy, and that those extended families are being supported by tax dollars via welfare.

Just to touch on the Medicare issue, there are people here who are struggling and have Medicare, but after paying for that, can't afford to see doctors, go to hospitals, or purchase medication. Not everyone on Medicare has a lot of money to cover those costs after paying living expenses and insurance costs. Apparently the same is now happening to many of those under Obamacare.

I'm all for helping those in legitimate need, and I think it's horrendous what many of these people are going through. Not everyone can live side by side peacefully. Growing up, many of my friends and neighbors were Syrian, Lebanese, Greek, Armenian, etc. They fled their homelands for the safety of the United States, primarily because they were other than Muslim, and were being forced out. They wanted better lives, assimilated, got jobs or started companies that created jobs for others, and raised their children to respect this country and its laws. They were non-violent, caring, and contributed in positive ways to the community and to this country. Those are the types of immigrants/refugees I want here.

In our newspaper today, there is a fact check area about terrorist fears. It states about Obama complaining about Republicans and stating that "Apparently they are scared of widow's and orphans coming into the United States. The Facts: Obama's mocking of Republicans worried about terrorists slipping into to the U.S. with authentic refugees masks concerns that were expressed by his own administration about that very potential before the Paris attacks.

Justice Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, told a security conference in September: "As refugee's descend on Europe, one of the obvious issues that we worry about, and in turn as we bring refugees into this country, is exactly what's in their background? We don't put it past the likes of ISIS to infiltrate operatives among those refugees. Clapper added : That is a huge concern of ours."

The whole world is getting crazier every day. They talk about these radical terrorists. Well if someone destroyed your family, house. way of life and killed all your friends could you be radicalized. There is no question that these people behind all this UN action are sitting back watching this new disaster taking place. These radicalized refugees are being brought into country of the people that were the cause of all their grief. Only a blind person or politician would not be able to see it

It's a religious thing, and always was. The muslims started their westward expansion By taking Spain and attacking Europe from Spain. Yes, Europeans were being killed and their homes destroyed by muslims. I guess they got radicalized because the European countries launched a crusade against the muslim hoards and drove them back in about 1099.
Muzzies ought to read more history and see how things turned out. They're trying the same thing again and, God willing, they will get their butts handed to them.

I only hope you are right. The only problem is they are not only over there but in your own home town now.
