@Aniri Ciocan Agree about 'La vita e bella', a brilliant movie.
Watched this as 'Life Is Beautiful' with sub-titles.

    My top five:
    Homeward Bound (1993)
    Ghost Story (1981)
    Cat's Eye (1985)
    The Hard Ride (1971)
    The Thing (1982)
And then there is the Star Wars trilogy and The Wizard of Oz which never gets old.

Over the years some great films have come out but not worth watching again.

My list that I watch over and over again.

    The System...1960s
    The Prisoner...1960s
    Blow Up...1960s

Nothing afterwards until...Kill Bill in the late 90s

And then nothing else until about a year ago when I watched Casino for the first time made in 1995.

Casablanca, My favorite of all time. I always said don't buy it if you don't want to watch it more than once--just rent it. Sometimes, however, some things are not available as a rental/on demand and you have to buy it to see it. A movie I loved as a child mad have watched several times with my children and grandchildren: The Court Jester with Danny Kaye.

A classic of its own kind. I thought it was the funniest movie I had ever seen when I saw it for the first time.

Just finished watching the 1968 movie, " The Odd Couple ".

Every once in a while, you get to watch a duo interact on screen
    and just work magic together.

Ones that come to mind are Redford and Newman in " Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ".
Sean Connery and Michael Caine in " A Man Who Would Be King ".
Martin and Lewis in their string of movies.

Not concerned about how they liked or disliked each other off camera, it's what shows up on the screen that matters.

I have 300+ movies in my collection, but the one I love the most is the mammoth epic, "War and Remembrance", from the historical novel of the same name by Herman Woulk. 24 hours in length, it is, in my opinion, one of the finest films yet made. Starring Sir John Gielgud, Robert Mitchum, Jane Seymour, Sharon Stone, Robert Morley and Victoria Tennant and a cast of hundreds.
The film takes place during WW2 and follows the American Henry Family throughout the war. Extensively covers the Holocaust through the personal experiences of the Jewish professor, Arron Jastrow, and his niece Natalie Henry trapped in Nazi occupied Europe.
The time devoted to actual combat is minimal, perhaps only 10% of the film. The remainder covers personal relationships, and the love lives of the main characters as the war unfolds.

This film is a must see for serious history buffs. Two thumbs up !

The bridges of Madison county was on TV today ..I’ve seen it many times but a sat and watched it again today
I love it ....without having to ask Mr Google ... I believe it dates back to the mid 1990’s
IMO it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen ..my next favorite would be another coupe of oldies ...The Shawshank redemption ...and The horse whisper

I always enjoy watching "12 Angry Men", which is 12 men locked in a jury room deliberating on the fate of a young man accused of murder. They are all for conviction, but Henry Fonda convinces every one of the other 11 men, one at a time, that they must vote for acquittal.
A fantastic study in human nature.

I'm not a fan of watching movies more than once although I do remember watching "What About Bob", "As Good As It Gets", and "What About Schmidt" a few times because they were light and effective mood boosters. So funny. Oh, same with "Father of the Bride". I know, I'm definitely a chick-flick gal.

I also like clever movies with a twist at the end...but only once...like "Dr. Shivago", and "Sixth Sense"
