I've been buying stuff from a medical supply place recently and haven't posted it. No one needs to read about that stuff. But I was able to snag some real iodine through them. I also ordered some sale stuff from Tractor Supply. For some reason you only get the sale price if you order online, even from stuff that's stocked in the store and you order it for PickUp. I got a Tractor Supply credit card a while ago, and one of the perks is free shipping (on most items.) So I ordered a Caterpillar branded hoodie and some heavy duty ratchet straps:

They were half price, so I ordered 2 pairs. I'm still using the light duty straps I bought 12 years ago when I moved in here, and they're great for securing my garbage cans for runs to the recycling center, but these are much better for securing lumber and heavier stuff.

About 6 months ago I bought my husband some CAT t-shirts from Costco. They are very heavy weight and excellent quality for a good price; I need to see if those are still available. He doesn't usually care for logo clothing but he didn't mind the CAT brand on the t-shirts.

I wish we had a Tractor Supply here. I don't think they even ship here.

    Tractor Supply carries them.
Some are marked down. Normally $18-$20 marked down to $13.50 with a "View Price In Cart" deal.

Get one of their credit cards and you won't pay freight.

We finally got one in our county several years ago. Before then I was driving over 1/2 hour to the one in the next country west of me or the one north of me.

I was going into town the other day and realized I had not been in T.S. for a while, so I swung by. I walked out with some more connectors for my tractor chains and a Tractor Supply logo cap.

Today, from Penny's online, bought a new set of 600tc Liz Claiborne Luxury Cotton Sateen Deep-Pocket Sheets. The set we got this past May are absolutely wonderful, so we wanted another set.

From Amazon, we bought another big portable humidifier by Pure. It's that time of the year when cold weather and humidity don't get along. We have an indoor temperature/humidity gauge in bedroom and living room and lately the humidity has been like 22% which is too low for us. So, out came the two large ones we have. One for bedroom and one for living room. Will put the new one next to the other large one in the living room. Have to remember to keep door shut to the bedroom, when the humidifier is on at night and keep all doors shut when both are going to humidity the living room/dining area/kitchen and hallway.

My other recent online purchases were a bottle of Salt Wrap MAG R&R for my nighttime foot/calf cramps that happen in the middle of the night. Also bought my wife a pair of new spur straps for the spurs we bought her for Christmas. No horses anymore, so we will just hang the spurs/straps on the wall........mine next to hers. She loves her new spur straps.

I have ordered a pretty yellow toaster from Amazon ! We have had the same old toaster for as long as I can remember, and it came from the thrift store when I bought it. It is heavy and ugly, but still works fine.
The new one has the extra wide toasting area for bagels, too.

I do surveys for amazon gift cards, and just cashed in my points , and the toaster that i have been watching for the last couple of weeks just went on sale for half price……. A great combination !
This will be a nice , small and lightweight toaster, and i will put the old one along the roadside for someone else who needs a toaster, since it still has more toasting years left.

Do you have a way of getting notified when stuff you want gets marked down, or do you just log in every once in a while and check?

What I do is browse for the item I am interested in, and as I find ones that look like they would work, I put them on my wish list. I also check to see if they have a sale price for like-new ones.
Then, I check my wish list items and see if any of them have markdowns. The toaster is regularly about $22, and I had seen some small mark-downs, but today it was $13, so a good price.
I had over $10 in amazon points to cash in, so my toaster only actually cost a couple of dollars , not counting tax.

I got my sous vide machine that way. The unit is significantly marked down at seemingly random times, so as you do, I put it in my wish list and then checked back periodically. I guess Amazon has no motive to automate this, as it would defer purchases and also cost them revenue.

I bet you'll enjoy that toast even more knowing it came at a bargain, huh?

I bought a second set of kitchen sink strainers.

    sink strainer.jpg

I like these because they recess in the drain so nothing gets by/under them, and there is no edge/rim for food to get hung up on.

I also got another remote weather station:

    remote station.jpg

I heat with wood and like to keep an eye on the temp in the living room (where the stove is.) This operates off of A/C power and has 4 levels of brightness so I can hang it on my bedroom wall and glance at it in the middle of the night.

Fuzzy jacket from Costco.com; $26.99. My friend bought one in the store and when I saw hers I had to have one.

Also bought a couple of long-sleeved "Caterpillar" t-shirts for the better half.
