This scanpan stew pot While preparing /partly cooking / my apples for preserving I realised I needed a larger saucepan for the preparation due to using my 11 Ltr saucepan for the water bathing ( we have a pressure canner we use out in the shed ) but it’s to heavy for my glass cooktop inside So I bought this, however I was mmmm …cause it’s available in 6 and 8.5 Ltr sizes so I settled on the 6 Ltr size it will be used for lots of different cooking ….like that tomato relish I’m going to make …..one day….. ( tomatoes are in the freezer ) hope to get to the rest of my apples that are in the fridge ..latter this week
Still determined to clean that damn window, I am taking a fall-back position and purchasing a car wash kit.
No; I discovered that I can get my arm in between the window glass and the screen, but my arm's not long enough to clean the entire window. I thought with the carwash tools I could manage to reach all the areas.
A few days ago I ordered a cordless lightweight stick vacuum. I get tired of dragging out the vacuum cleaner or the broom to sweep up misc. stuff off the kitchen floor. I really like it! It is lightweight, handy, and so convenient to use.
I ordered an 8 oz bag of hops pellets, which I am going to use to flavor my kombucha. It was shipped from a small town near Nashville, just about an hour north of me, and is now in New Jersey …….. figure that out ! Amazon could have just sent it here from Nashville, and I would have had the hops by tomorrow; but it is scheduled for Sunday delivery. I wonder where it will be by tomorrow ?
Now, it is Friday, and guess what ……. My hops are back in Tennessee for the third (?) time . This is total craziness from the post office ! I am thankful that these are dried hop pellets and not something live that needed to arrive in a timely fashion (like kefir grains or plant starts).
That happens to my orders a lot too, Yvonne. I check the tracking on my orders and some of them always go back and forth from the original shipping place to out of state. It does this for at least two days before it finally gets to my local post office. It is very aggravating. I think the old pony express could have gotten my order here quicker! Our postal system has become horrible.
Again I had a disaster shopping on Amazon …I must have a label on my head saying give me all your crap….. I don’t believe it’s Amazon itself that’s letting customers down it’s the sellers on there ….trying to pass off crap to buyers The stew pan I bought came as a used pan ( quite evident ) I was here when it was delivered and as soon as I took it out of the box I noticed the damage ….a hole almost right through the pot …..and the lid rim has 3 dents in it I got into Amazon chat right away and after much chatting the operator decided she’d offer me $10 off to keep the pot Nah …. I wanted a label to send it back ( this pot was in the scanpan box no packing what’s so ever ) If I want secondhand stuff I know where op shops are The I got cut off from her and as I had other things to do …..making medical appointments for hubby who’s having his second cataract done in June … I left it to yesterday to contact them again and they gave me a full refund , so I ordered one elsewhere that will be here next week ……in the meantime I’ll give this one to a op shop Be right back with photos of damage
See discolouration on lid it’s quite evident it’s been used before sending to me ….and the dent ..how in the hell would damage like this happen? The glass part of showed evidence of being used as well
