It's OK to indulge occasionally (as I do), but some diabetics use insulin to eat things they shouldn't. Big mistake. Injected insulin does not work perfectly like insulin produced in the pancreas of a non diabetic.

You probably know this but just in case. Make sure kitties get organ meats (liver, kidney, heart, gizzard, etc.) because those are rich in compounds they cannot make for themselves and which are not found in just meat from muscle. Or, other foods with specific feline supplements work too.

I see. What I've learned over the past 12 years: Drug companies are always coming out with new drugs. After spending a fortune on the required studies & tests, they have to make back what they spent before they can profit. That's why they're willing to reward doctors big time for prescribing them. And that's why doctors often try to get patients to change to the new drugs, even when they're already doing fine with the old drugs.

You may recall Dr. Oz devoting his entire show to the miracle weight loss benefits of "Green Coffee Extract." He even had young sexy models on his show who claimed they lost weight using it. Dr. Oz is typical of doctors who will accept big money to claim a product has benefits.

Ozempic spends a fortune on advertising - another big expense they have to make back before they can profit. And any drug that claims weight loss will sell, of course. Some honest doctors don't think the risks are worth the benefits:

Thank you I'll see if they have those little buckets that I could boil for them. Liver is probably a sure thing, but the other parts I would just have to look. My market is pretty good but I have never looked for those particular things in the cooler section. I stopped buying chicken years ago when it became so hard to cook it and it was tough as nails. So the only time I eat chicken is fried from their deli which is not too bad most of the time. Now the cats love that fried chicken and also the spicy potatoes. I will probably start buying a whole baked chicken because they have those often. I don't particularly want it for myself but just give the cats a little something different. I buy the best dry food and it is loaded with good things because I feed 5 other younger cats that come into my bathroom from under the vanity thru the plumbing hole. They were following their mother around and were just small toddlers and I was familiar with their Mother and had fed her often. So they all started eating on my front porch and then the weather turned bad so I started feeding them in the bathroom with the door always kept closed so they couldn't come into the house where the other 3 live. Anyway I feed that outside group the best money can buy and they all look so healthy and they aren't particular they eat and enjoy what I put down, I put down canned food each morning for them and also a good helping of dry food that stays full for them all the time. They grew like weeds eating here. I enjoy their company and they give me a reason to get up and not sleep late every morning. One or two of them get up on my window air conditioner sticking through the kitchen right over the sink and they can hear me getting their chow ready so they talk to me every morning unless it is raining really bad. heh

Teeccino is running an Earth Day special. 25% off. The code is EARTHDAY23

I've been drinking these every evening after dinner. Most of the coffees are not herbals (their teas are), they are made with grains, beans and roots (chicory, barley, carob, etc.) The coffees contain prebiotics, and I sweeten them with a powdered prebiotic for an extra boost.

I stocked up with my favorites.

I am redecorating my guest bedroom so I've made a lot of purchases lately. But the most interesting purchase is the Turkish Kilim Rug Pillow. It came all the way from Turkey in 6 days! I found it on Etsy, handmade, very beautiful!

I buy almost everything online. Walk-in stores don't have much variety anymore; maybe it's not worth the cost of keeping things in stock. I often find ridiculous prices on something in a store, then find it online for half the price.
Clothes, Batteries, Towel Drying Rack, Soap Dishes, Diabetes Test Strips & Meters, Coffee & Coffeemaker Supplies, Laser Print Cartridges.
I recently remodeled a bathroom & got all the plumbing fixtures from Amazon.
Five years ago, I shopped online for a piano. Although I bought it at a store, I was able to save a lot of time & gas by looking online for the best selection & price.
Sometimes, I wonder how we would survive today without online shopping.

Bought some roasted chicory root granules (I always add brewed chicory to my coffee these days), cargo pants, a rechargeable lamp you wear as a headband, and cacao powder.

I just bought some of that. I just use a pinch of chicory with each pot so it lasts me a long time.

I think I mentioned that I've gotten into the habit of brewing a large (6 cup) caning jar of it and keeping it in the fridge to add to the pot when I brew coffee. When I use the last of it, it's pretty easy to clean out the jar and throw another batch into a saucepan. I use 4 tablespoons per batch, and I stretch (6) 4 cup pots with it. I've not tried drinking just the brewed chicory except for when I tested my first batch. I drink my coffee with sugar, but I suspect the chicory would require creamer as well...and maybe some cinnamon.

I just bought an electric shaver from Amazon. It's a brand I never heard of - "Babyliss." It's a division of "Con Air."
I can't believe how well it works! It shaves even closer than a blade, with no nicks & cuts.
I had been using an old Philipps/Norelco, but I had to go over the same areas 5-6 times & it still couldn't shave as close.

I found a solar/usb rechargeable flashlight with several modes of brightness that is usually about $50, and it was on sale for $12.99; so I ordered it. I used my $10 amazon gift card, so it only cost me about $4 with the tax added.
We do not often lose electricity here, but with the tornado season happening, it is always a good idea to have a bright flashlight handy , just in case.

I have a couple of the little usb lanterns that my daughter gave me, and I keep those charged up for when we do have storms and lose power. It will be nice for when we need some light outside at night this summer, too.
