Both of my garden trowels had wooden handles, and they were both really old (I mean REALLY OLD !) , and the wood just crumbled off of the trowel part when I went to use it in the dirt.
This was a great excuse to order new ones from Amazon, that had non-wooden handles. The set that I really wanted was beautiful.....lavender with flowers.....but it cost $10 more than the plain green set cost, and (being the practical person that I am) I just could not justify spending and extra $10 just for “pretty”.
So, I got the plain green set instead, but here is a picture of the pretty purple one I wanted to get. The set is exactly the same tools and case, just a different color.
    Totally unfair....

I like that kit. Obviously, keeps everything together and organized rather than scattered about.

You should have posted before pulling the trigger. I always tell salespeople to leave me alone and I'll up-sell myself on about every option. I would have done the same for you ;)

Of course, I'm looking at a pasta maker and am researching the proper texture semolina flour to use so I don't drop an extra $14, so who am I to advise??? Perhaps being this way is why we were able to retire...

I've never heard of gnat paper, although I have fly paper on hand just in case I need it.

This time of year we get gnats and fruit fly bugs in kitchen. I keep everything covered at all times. The ole fashion vinegar and soap thing no longer works. They are attractied to yellow..so ordered some yellow gnat paper took catch them.We shall see how it works .

    Interesting.

I haven't had gnats in years, but fruit flies seem to hitch a ride from the grocery store.

I've tried home insecticides with no success (sugar + boric acid for ants). They completely avoid it.

The only thing I've seen work is laying out beer in a shallow aluminum pan to kill slugs. They can't seem to resist it.

I ordered a rebounder (mini-tranpoline) from Amazon; it should be here tomorrow. I probably should have bought some pain pills to accompany it.

I'm bored with my indoor exercise routine. I used to have a rebounder but it was pretty old and didn't have much "bounce" left. So I decided to buy a new one and give it a go to mix things up a bit.

I have a spare room that is set up with home exercise equipment and a TV, so this will just add to the clutter. :D

-Retractable clothesline (so I can set up a temporary line to at least air-dry bed linens).
-Grooved pasta paddle for making gnocchi-like pasta shapes.
-Bulbs for my Breville. They were cheap ($1/each.) I hope they survive the heat. Should arrive Wednesday.
-Coffee. Always buying coffee. My periodic Hills Bros order to augment my 8 O'Clock.
-Raw almonds to make more snacks.
-Pasta machine attachments (from Ebay) for ribbon noodles and angel hair pasta (already made some angel hair.)
-Vacuum seal bags. Price has jumped over 40% this past year after being stable for so long!! Dunno why.

I have a room I set up as a spare bedroom, but I'll never use it for that purpose. I gotta call a local charity I know to take the furniture there and set up an exercise room. I really, really need to do this. I should have set it up as an exercise room when I first moved in.
