Oh yeah. I've had them for over 20 years and they still work.

Only one has a video but I don't bother with the video part.

I took them out for my youngest granddaughters and they had a ball.

I just ordered a "lap desk" from Amazon. After buying a new recliner, the little desk thing that I used with the old chair won't work; it can't slide up close enough. The old chair had individual "legs" and the new one has a circular wooden base. I've been holding the laptop on my lap but it gets too warm after a while so we'll see how this thing works when it gets here.

I have a caliper sort of like that (mine's a cheap plastic one.) I've been surprised at the number of uses I've found for it.

The opposite goes for that tap & die set. I rarely need it, but when I do, there's no substitute.

The filter life indicator on my Brita filter died after 5-6 years of heavy use.

I filled out the online Customer Service form, but these are only warranted for a year. Brita won't provide a replacement, and they won't sell me one, either. They ARE going to send me a $10 off coupon for my next purchase, and they offered to send me some stickers I could put on the pitcher to manually track the Change Filter date. A like-kind pitcher would still be close to $20 out of pocket after applying the coupon. So I found a replacement indicator on line for $10 delivered, and I'll apply the coupon to a box of filters.

It's not like a new water pitcher is gonna make a difference when the old one does what it's supposed to do. And it's really not as though this indicator is crucial to the pitcher's operation. But it's annoying to have the thing there and not work. And the coupon sort of pays for the replacement.

I ordered a box of 30 candles from Amazon. I can't believe how we burned through my stash during this stupid winter storm.

Just received the world's largest pair of tweezers:

    Kitchen tweezers.jpg Kitchen tweezers2.jpg

    That's a full-sized cast iron skillet.

They're to be used as gentler, more accurate tongs. Use them to turn shrimp & scallops, pick out pieces of egg shells, etc.

I have no idea how I've lived without them.

I buy up candles when I'm out thrifting or at the flea market just for power outages. Batteries are great but cost more than candles.

I always like to keep candles and matches in the house; they are old school but dependable. :D

I also highly recommend this gadget... a Halo Bolt Portable Charger and Car Jump Starter.
We have two of them that I bought to go in our vehicles, but they are GREAT to have during a power outage. They have 110 outlet plugs, and will power a lamp for hours or can be used to charge electronics. We even used one to power the pump to air up an "Airbed" that we slept on on the floor. Each time the power came on, we'd scramble to charge up the two Halos and all our electronics.

Oh yeah, I can use that just for when I'm in the carriage house. There's no power because I had the power line removed when we upgraded the circuit breaker box.
