Oh that's annoying...I hate when things awry and I end up spending hours doing something that should have taken much shorter time Hope the books are worth it after all that, Bill..
Actually, they were not for me but for my wife, from our daughter. Buy one, get two from a specified group free. I have wanted to try these 'listen to' books for some time butdidn't know how they worked. Had i tried one for myself I would have abandon the project. I got it going for her and she's listening now. I hope it is a pleasant experience for her, because she gets really frustrated with the digital and the internet world, and frusrated with me when I can't do something right off on line right off. The next attempt (next month) will be easy; hardest part picking a book.
I love sandals, I have sooo many pairs, I have to keep away from shoe shops. ..it's so hard!! I have tons of shoes and boots and last night I was looking at these really cute Mary janes' online, and I thought I MUST have those, they've got a little heel..and they are so cute... and then I had to sit on my fingers because I don't need shoes... I have more than 50 pairs of shoes , boots and trainers and I can't wear most of the former because of my dodgy back and knee !!..
As one of my BFF's says, "I'm a shoe ho." I loooooove shoes and handbags. Recently I cleaned out my closet and gave my daughter 14 pairs of (mostly unworn) shoes. (So now there's more room in there, muhahaha.)
I ordered an 8-foot by 2-foot above-ground planter from Amazon because the shipping was free and it cost about as much as I'd pay for the lumber if I were to build one myself, and I ordered some oil for my shredders since I keep forgetting to stop at the hardware store.
On April 18th I ordered some replacement garage door openers from Amazon. They said expected delivery was April 19th. They just arrived today. When I originally placed the order I gave my PO Box as shipping address but the system said I could send to PO Box. So gave them my physical location where I do not have mail delivered. I thought they'd send via UPS. Now I suppose they'll want to re-charge me since I convinced them to credit me around the 5th of May.
I rarely order anything online that isn't from Amazon.com. Even when I can get the same thing cheaper somewhere else, which is rare, I know that I am going to receive it when I order from Amazon.com. More than once, I have ordered stuff from other companies and never received what I ordered. Sometimes, I can't even remember where I ordered it but know that I did order and pay for it.
I mostly order from Amazon, too, but also Costco, Walmart, etc. I check for the best pricing on some items. What I like most about Amazon is their customer service; it is stellar. Most times if I need to return something I can print out the prepaid return label, hand the package to my UPS driver, and I get a refund as soon as he scans the label.
Yesh, their service can't be beaten. Once I ordered a live trap for a couple of raccoons who were causing some problems here. It was supposed to arrive in two days, but on the scheduled arrival time, I saw that it was at the UPS facility in Kansas City, I think. The following day, it was still in Kansas City, so I wrote Amazon.com to tell them that. They sent another one our next-day delivery and told me that I could do whatever I wanted with the first one if it ever arrived. They both arrived the following day, so now I have two. That was good because I had two raccoons.
Just bought a pair of my favourite PIONEER megaflex stretch summer jeans "Rando" in grey at a Sunday special discount of 20%. Had been waiting for the special offer for some time. Home delivery free of charge within three days. Like that.
@Holly Saunders I just thought that since they would have gotten notified that the item was finally delivered that that would trigger a recharge. Hasn't happened tho.
What it looks like to me, is that he ordered, but when it didn’t arrive even close to schedule, he contacted Amazon and cancelled the order and received a refund, but now the item has arrived (a month too late after the order). What he is thinking is that since the order did arrive, Amazon will now re-instate the charge for it. Amazon might not charge at all, since the item took so long for delivery after it was ordered, and the order was already considered as “lost in transit” or something similar to that.
