My wife [gadget girl] spotted this bargain & ordered it right away. Ninja Mega Kitchen System (BL770) Blender/Food Processor with 1500W Auto-iQ Base, 72oz Pitcher, 64oz Processor Bowl, (2) 16oz Cup for Smoothies, Dough & More. We already have an Ninja 1500 watt Ultima blender & a Kitchen Aid food processor. I don't ask why since it's something she wanted. I'm pretty sure though it goes back to our early years in our marriage when buying a want meant saving until whatever it was could be bought.
I have a Ninja blender also, two of them , in fact. The first one is one of the large ones with the blades up the sides that looks like it could chop up anything, but it really didn’t work that well, except for pulverizing ice. I did use the little blender cup for making smoothies, but it is small for that. My daughter has one of the Nutri-Ninja’s with the boost and auto-IQ, and liked it; so when I found one on clearance at Amazon , I got one of those, too. It has 3 sizes of blender cups, and does great for making smoothies and iced coffee and other drinks like that, but still can’t begin to compare with my Vitamix. The Vitamix has that huge pitcher, so I only use it when I am making almond milk, or something that needs a larger quantity, and use the Nutri-Ninja for everything else.
Today I got our monthly "subscribe and save" order from Amazon... k-cups, paper towels, mixed nuts, laundry detergent, etc. The box is about as big as a coffin. My mailman hates me on "subscribe and save" day.
Two baseball caps coming to us. Both are rodeo related (emblem on front) that wouldn't be sold here at all.
GASP!! A book, Holly!! I have been reading an actual hardback book this week and I have to admit, it's kind of annoying. I'm spoiled by having an old Kindle downstairs in the kitchen and a Fire tablet upstairs, so I don't usually have to carry a book around. Without fail with the hardback, the book is upstairs and I'm down, or vice-versa. (First world problem)
LOL Beth... I luuuurve my hardback books...I rarely ever use my kindle.. I take it on holiday with me, and sometimes if I'm expecting to be sitting waiting for a long time at an appointment or something ..but I never read it at home. I just wallow in the delight of a good Hardback book propped up on a cushion to read when I'm in bed!!
Well, here ya go Lon. I heard on the radio that Charmin was producing the “forever” roll of toilet paper and just had to look it up to see if it was a real thing. Basically, it’s the same thing we’d see at a restaurant restroom but with the Charmin texture I would imagine. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/mone...r-targeted-at-millennial-customers/ar-AACxDQT
I ordered a new pair of Birkenstock Arizonas; expect to get them today. I have to buy a new pair every 20 years or so.
