Found them by putting wide mouth into google …..it took me to Amazon I’m going to order some right now …before I get out tea ready ( evening meal )
I finally broke down and ordered stainless steel rings to make ciabatta buns. I don't know why I didn't get these as I was satisfying my backlog of cooking accessory desires when COVID Sheltering first hit. Also replenished my supply of supplements so I have a year's worth of everything on hand, just in case. Some supplements come from Amazon, most are from Walmart's website, and tomorrow I'll grab a few off the shelf at my local Walmart.
Made the mistake of visiting the Kitchenaid website; noticed the small appliances are on sale for Mother's Day. Tried to resist bowl-lift mixer but failed. (Now that I'm making a lot of breads I "knead" a mixer with more power. Yeah, that's it.) Hey, I raised 5 kids I deserve a great mother's day gift.
Found on Craigslist: It's a box blade for my tractor. Just grabbed it this afternoon...had to drive an hour to get it. I'm still looking for a landscape rake. The funny thing is when I lived with my father in Richmond nearly 50 years ago, I had a couple of really remote places I used to go fishing...about an hour from where we lived. They were out in the middle of nowhere. One was a pair of large ponds/small lakes, and the other was a fresh water reservoir. Due to weird web directions, I overshot this guy's house by 1/2 mile and came upon the formal entrance to a state park. The name of the place sounded awfully familiar. I asked the guy about it, and sure enough smack in the middle of New Suburbia was that backwoods place I used to fish all those decades ago. And right up the road where I stopped to get gas on the way--all built up with strip malls and fast food--was the other place I'd drop my line in!!! It didn't really stir up any nostalgia, since there is no way I could have recognized either of them. It's kinda depressing. Gone forever.
Got some beans to make more ham/bean soup. Added leftover ham, whole onion sliced, 3 strips of bacon cut up, brown sugar, ketchup, lemon juice and chicken broth.
Found these slicer/grater attachments on the Kitchenaid website "refurb" area and got a deal on them. Hope they don't suck.
I have bought a heck of a lot of stuff online over the last few months. Mostly because of free shipping and low prices. Boxes arriving almost weekly. There are the supplements from amazon and Iherb, Carpenter ant baits. colored mortar for tuck pointing (who knew). Today I got a box marked Walmart. What the heck did I order from Walmart. Surprise! It was ordered through amazon. I ran out of my last case of creamy chicken ramen. When I went to the store, it had gone from 4 for a dollar to two for a dollar. Paging though amazon, I found a case of 24 for $6 something. Probably my last ramen as things are going.
I was running out of shoes. Aside from the dress shoes I haven't worn in decades, I was down to 1 pair of motorcycle boots and 1 pair of New Balance shoes. Everything else had worn out with holes ( I am hard on shoes). So, I ventured into the realm of buying shoes without trying them on and order this today.
Mary--Walmart.com has those ramen noodles for $4.80... https://www.walmart.com/ip/24-Packs-Maruchan-Creamy-Chicken-Instant-Ramen-3-oz/113621042 You have to buy $35 to get free shipping unless you are a Walmart+ customer, though.
