Well, I gave the Macbook to my husband and ordered myself a new Dell laptop. It should be here Wednesday, and just in the nick of time. My current Dell (5 years old) keeps dropping the internet connection so after putzing with it for days I'm throwing in the towel. I'm not putting money into a 5-year old machine though it has been a good one.
You'll need to make at least two strokes. Select the ones you want to remove, then click on delete (sometimes a little trash can; depends on your provider.) If you want to dump everything in your inbox, click the "select all," then delete.
The fact that you are posting widely again, @Hal Pollner tells me that you've got the hang of W10 by now. That's something I'll have to cope with some time in the future.
Beth, I was able to delete the messages one at a time, but I could not find the "select all" anywhere. Aaaaaah, but that's OK...It didn't take me long to delete 'em one at a time! Hal
Hal, I don't know which email provider you use, but with Gmail, there's a box to check at the top of the list of emails which selects the entire list. Here's an example using Gmail; note the small box indicated by the red arrow. My Comcast email has a similar setup.
Still waiting on the new laptop. I decided to make some last minute changes which delayed the order. Dang. Of course since I placed the order, the old one has performed flawlessly. What the heck.
It would be convenient if I could have a Tile for instantly clicking me to YouTube. I've been able to populate my Start Menu from the list of W10 apps, but there is none for YouTube. Hal
