    Do a write-in vote for yourself. That's my plan.

    I don't follow. Do you think I'm Trump? Let me check.... no, I'm not.

    Or is that not voting against Trump is voting for him?

    What Peter is referring to Dwight, is, if you do a write in, it generally is considered a vote for the incumbent since you did not vote for the challenger.

    One less vote for the opposition.

    @Ed Marsh

    You expect the "perfection" which pours forth from the mouths of life-long professional politicians.......the swindlers of our minds.......and regard the above Trump failings as sufficient to accept the alternate, regardless of it's true content. My wife's mother once told me, when I asked her if the Democrats were running a monkey for president, would she vote for it? Absolutely, YES! Such ignorant loyalty to a "party" labels weak-mindedness at it's peak.

    As a kid, my dad recounted the Scopes trial to me: William Jennings Bryan vs. Clarence Darrow. My dad had great respect for Darrow, less for Bryan. He recounted an exchange which supposedly occurred between the two regarding strength of "beliefs". Darrow asked if Bryan believed everything he heard and read (presumably inferring Biblical knowledge), whereupon Bryan confirmed "absolutely". Darrow returned with. "Then, sir, you are a damned fool".

    Your post above clearly carries inference of similar mind-set..........

    Great solution if you think both candidates are 'equally bad' ….BUT if you think one is worse, as I do, voting for the less objectionable one will "cancel out" a vote for the one most objectionable...:D

    Or you might say that a vote for the lesser of two evils is still evil, that is if you really believed that both were evil.

    Incumbents are favored to win but I always look at not voting for either candidate as a vote for the one you would most dislike since you missed the opportunity to cancel out a vote...if that makes any sense :)

    Very true but when I use that phrase I rarely literally mean evil. I am new here so I'm trying to be careful not to be misunderstood …...and that is also why I didn't use that common, popular saying...:)

    Don't worry about being misunderstood. If these guys understood me they'd boot me out right away.
