It would depend on the area. Not all of Colorado is 'cowboy'. It's considered very hip, very liberal and very expensive. I think Cody lives in a different part though if they have any weed restrictions. It could be a county by county choice.
The rest of Colorado has weed shops which have brought LOTS of money into the state. Not much mention of horses. LOL.

This isn't on topic is it? It probably should be in the other thread where we were discussing it.

Do you watch/listen to Regular news or "Award-Winning" news?

I rarely watch the news. I only have internet, not cable, and only run across 'late breaking' as it comes up in YouTube or on this forum. I'm quite happy and peaceful in my ignorance of what is happening.

Yep I'm afraid I'm a news freak...I must watch or read the news several times a day.. I dunno why I do it, it's just so depressing, but I really don't like to be unaware of worldwide events..

Decisions based upon ignorance make others unhappy. Do yourself and all others on the planet a favor. Don't be a low information voter. Really know what you're talking about. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Like Holly, I'm a news junky. . I like to watch TV programs where the panels are the investigative reporters for the top newspapers. Don't care much for the talking heads, and shows where the moderators interrupt, or try to show they know more than their guests. That rules out an awful lot of them. lol

Not as much up on local (state, city) news as I should be now, though.

It seems like every news source has a slant to it nowadays, and most people either watch news that has the slant that they like, or sometimes , give up and don’t watch any of it.
I am somewhere in between those two choices, and I do try to watch news from both opinions, because I don’t think that either side is actually giving us (the American public, and maybe the world at large) all of the facts in the news. Sometimes, it is hard to tell what is real or has been faked, at least until we can see the actual evidence.

A while back, during one of the major hurricanes, we all watched the famous Weather Channel news anchor (Mike Seidel ?) in terrific winds and barely being able to stand up as he weaved back and forth with the gale force storm.
Suddenly, in the side of the video, two people went strolling by along the same road that the reporter was on, laughing and talking, wearing cutoffs, and walking normally.
This video was soon all over the internet, as was another one of another reporter standing down in a ditch or some low spot in order to make the flood waters look deeper, while the photographer stood in barely ankle deep water.

There is also a new technology where they can take one persons picture, and use another person to talk and move their face, and it looks like the first person is saying and doing these things themself.
More and more of these altered pictures and videos are appearing on the internet, and most are being spread around by people who think that they are real....... and they LOOK real !

Here is a quick video about how this is done.

I usually keep up with news on various internet sites since I don't care for any of the TV/Cable news outlets. Most of the talking heads commentators (i.e., "common taters") are self-important teleprompter-reading simpletons, and I don't want opinions... I want facts.

I was referring more to news itself, as opposed to politics. However, I don't really invest too much time over what is said about a candidate from either side because I don't vote for a candidate, I vote based on party platform. For me, that is always GOP, because they best represent my own personal viewpoints. Not saying my viewpoints are always right, only that they are mine. I don't wobble. I don't change.

Basically, looking at First Coast News app on my iPhone and watching one of the Jacksonville news stations is how I found out how much crime was happening in Jacksonville, and where at. Turned out to be quite bit. There is no tv stations here in northern Colorado, only local news paper apps. Any serious crime is reported on the Denver channels. Compared to Jacksonville, northern Colorado has no crime.

How about this fact, Beth? You claim to be a pro choice woman, yet you consistently vote anti choice. What's up with that?

How do you know how I vote? Here's a bulletin for you; I voted for Hilary Clinton. Of course I felt there wasn't much choice in that election so there you are.

Why are you always so hostile?
