Remember when NoDoz were prominent in every gas station and convenience store? At a time when I prided myself on being able to drive from Michigan to California (or vice versa) without stopping for sleep, I downed a few of these, and I have made the trip more than once without stopping for anything other than gas, to eat, and a bathroom break, usually at the same stop. Now I never see NoDoz anymore, and. had assumed that the stuff had been made illegal. Apparently not, as it's still available. I suppose more people go for the liquid form today, in power shots, etc.
I see both nodoz and vivarin in in my supermarket, also in Walgreens etc. I even buy the generic..jet alert I think is targets brand....not sure but I do know it's in all stores. I usually take one at my daughter's because her Keurig coffee is too weak for me.
Chrissy if your daughter's Keurig coffee is to weak for you then you would love a real Cajun making a cup of coffee for you. Many Cajuns think a cup of coffee is not good unless it's so strong a spoon can stand up in it.
Maybe you're not looking in the right place @Ken Anderson ...it's usually in the same aisle as pain relievers and sleep aids.
Oh, I wasn't looking at all. I have no reason to want it. My point was that it was usually on the counters at gas stations, where you couldn't help but see it, so I hadn't even thought about it in years.
I did try an energy drink once when I was out all night on a Black Friday with my daughter. Those are too much even for me. My heart was beating so fast and I got all shaky, lol. Think this was called 5hr energy or something. I have had a Sugar free Red Bull with no problems though.
I've never tried any of those energy drinks, or Red Bull, for that matter. Why get all pumped up for something I don't want to do, anyhow?
