It seems we have a similar complaint happening here, too, @Corie Henson . There is a black activist group called "Black Lives Matter", but all that they do is protest and start riots whenever the police shoot any black criminal, even when the criminal was shooting at the police first. The families always claim that the criminal was a good person, and was only trying to support his family, or was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or some other rhetoric. Naturally, the protests always make news and that is all they show on television for the next few days. Other than the protests, the group has no actual concern for black people, and when there is a real need to help, such as the Louisiana flooding, they don't even show themselves. Your president might use colorful language, but Obama has been known to talk the same way, it is just not usually on the news, because they edit out anything that might make him look bad. Having drug pushers in control of the country and killing people is far worse than having a president who wants to get rid of the criminals, and uses a few cuss words sometimes.
@Yvonne Smith, die-hard fans of our president are hoping that Duterte will change his behavior. They call it metamorphosis that was promised by Duterte when he assumed the presidency. If there are people who are quick-witted, our president is surely quick with his temper and making it worse are his obscene words that come with his pronouncement. But I'd still say he is one of the best president when it comes to actions and promises for he walks the talk.
@Corie Henson What was the last administration like? I have seen a few stories in the news about Duterte recently, and I have to say, I laughed at a few of the things I read. I wonder if he is so vocal as a result of the previous administration, much in the way followers are attracted to Donald Trump because they feel not only dismissed by Obama, but also disrespected and betrayed. Not every candidate and president is right at every time, but when the pendulum swings too far in one direction, it often overcorrects, before coming back to the center.
How many people who were handed 33 million dollars which had to be a bribe because he did not give the US anything for it except to tell them to get their troops out of there. Who would point out that he received it to the public. I think that show honesty above normal
The previous administration of Noynoy Aquino was mediocre but he is a decent guy unlike our present president who talks in the so called gutter language and has the stance of a thug as if he is ready to pick a fight anyone that catches his fancy. But in fairness to President Duterte, he has no concern for Mr. Aquino, maybe a show of his respect. But his tirades with the men of the former president seems to be getting out of hand. He had accused one lady senator of having an affair with her driver and that the new house of the driver was funded by drug money. And then the cousin of the driver appeared to claim the house... so the accusation fell flat on the president's face. But he hasn't stopped, the campaign against the lady senator continues.
