I've never heard of that Camp Pie either @Kate Ellery ..it looks and sounds revolting.. I don't rush out and stock up per se on food Steve, ..I do get a little more milk and bread in and I freeze the bread but that's about all. Like you I have a freezerful ( 2) in fact which would keep us fed for quite a while.. This is a beautiful sunset picture taken yesterday by my daughter above her home in Southern Spain, we occasionally get similar sunsets and sunrises here in the South of England .. ... do you often get glorious sunsets ?...
Yes.. We very often get a totally red sky in the summer.. You probably heard the saying.................. RED SKY AT NIGHT, SAILORS DELIGHT RED SKY IN MORNING, SAILORS TAKE WORNING Do you like to cook and eat LAMB ??? My wife comes from New Zealand and she grew up on lamb.. Today she doesn't want to see it at all.. She says she is "All Lambed Out"...
The saying here is.. red sky in the morning Shepherds warning red sky at night shepherds' delight.. Which brings us onto the sheep (lamb)....we have a lot of sheep in this country...similar to NZ...but I love Lamb more than any other meat, but because it's so fatty I only eat it a few times a year... Photography is my main hobby, what's yours?
@Holly Saunders , that is beautiful. There is a name for that kind of cloud but I forget what it is. Sunsets are one of my favorite things. My main hobby is bird feeding, bird watching and hosting birds. What are some of your favorite things?
OH my goodness, ..Music...photography, Books...holidaying abroad...the autumn evenings...choklit, more choklit... If you could choose an accent other than your own to talk in....which accent would it be... ?
Really Holly.. We all have some sort of an accent, regardless of where we come from.. The only person that can detect an accent from you, is someone that isn't from where you are from.. Even within the same country, there are several accents.. Living in one country and moving to another, you will eventually pick up their accent giving you a different type of accent, a combination of yours and theirs.. Accents are beautiful and very distinguishing... Now, in answer to your question, I would probably like to have an accent like the person I am talking to, that also has an accent according to me, so we can sound alike to each other.. Do you agree that we should all try to do something about this "Climate Change" or should we let the big polluters of industry do something about it... My opinion is every bit counts, however what some of the large manufacturing industries do in one day, I don't do in a lifetime..
Errrrm...Steve...I'm very aware we all have different accents. In fact there are so many accents on this tiny Island alone, that people from just 200 miles apart can't understand each other, much less accents from different parts of the world!! Yes something should be done about climate change, but what, I have no idea!! Have you ever eaten corn bread`?
Have I ever eaten corn bread? I'm a southern girl, born and bred. Just as sure as south is south I puts the corn bread in my mouth. Have you ever eaten haggish?
tell me what it is then I will tell you.. Do you paint your fingernails or toenails ? I bet Steve would love to answer this one!
No. It's some kind of yucky stuff that the Canadians and Englishters eat. I bet the Australians do, too.
Oh now I remember what it is. . Kate told me its like spam meat only kinda mushy and gummy like. ithink its an Aussie thing, so no I would not enjoy Haggish. Do you go to bed early or late?
I go to bed about 9.30 pm .up at about 7.30 am Louise haggis is different to Spam ,Spam is sort of like minced up processed ham , wait while I throw up at the thought of haggis ,I have tasted it, it's disgusting Are you allergic to any fruit ? I'm allergic to pineapple I get hives at the sight of it
I tried haggis about 40 years ago and still today I am trying to digest it.. I go to bed around 2:00am and get up not far from noon almost every day... I don't have any problems with fruit of any kind.. Vegetables: do you have a veggie that doesn't agree with you ??? Cucumbers are definitely a NO-NO for me as I can't seem to digest them.. I wonder if the haggis is making the cukes hard to digest...
OMG what's the matter with you weaklings...lol...Haggis is the National dish of Scotland. It's deeelicious. It's just minced spiced lamb, with onions and oatmeal... Whatever you all ate I don't think it could have been Haggis!!... I cannot stand Courgettes or cauliflower ... *ugh*...I detest them Who was/is your favourite Hollywood star of all time... you may choose more than one if you like..
Holly.. What I ate was not as you describe, haggis.. It wasn't minced lamb at all.. it was some sort of a pudding that was dark and looked like porridge.. it was kind of spicy and had a different taste to it, almost bitter.. Folks were eating it in a bowl and putting some sort of a white thick cream on it that looked like sour cream.. I tried it and it just didn't go over well with me..
