Eaton's was a large department store that had almost everything at a very reasonable price.. There were several of those stores across Canada and they closed about 10 or so years ago.. When I say everything, I mean it.. You could buy a motor boat to clothes, to furniture to ANYTHING....

What would you consider an appropriate wedding gift for a close member of your family who has almost everything and isn't short of $$$$$...
We were thinking of a set of, top of the line pots and pans for cooking..

Under the circumstances ,of your relatives having plenty of $$$$$ I'd concider a gift voucher from a large upmarket store that sells all household necessities,We have the likes of David Jones ,or Myers who specialise in wedding gift registries ...

Have you ever traveled around your country in a caravan / motorhome ,I have we traveled / lived in our caravan for two years after we sold our home in the city in 2004 ,we moved into our present home in ( 2006) it was newly built at the time

We just sold our camping trailer.. It was a 25 foot Prowler.. I found it too much to load it up with equipment, bicycles, clothes, food, hooking it up, hauling it, unhooking it up, setting it up at the campground, unloading it when we were home, so the time had come to sell it.. The next thing to go was the huge Ford F150 I had to haul it..
We travelled around the provinces of Ontario as well as Quebec, but not much further as the hassle was getting me down somewhat.. I (we) miss the vacations we had but not the work involved.. Our trips were around 2 to 4 weeks long.. Towards the end, I was considering hauling the boat behind the trailer but that came to an abrupt end pretty fast..

Boat:......... Do you own a boat or did you ever own a boat and what kind was it.. Power or sail ??
I sold my boat that I had for mainly fishing but we enjoyed just going out for a drive on the water on a lovely summers day..

No !!! even though we live very close to the sea ,( 1/2 km ) we don't have a boat ..no way ...I'm afraid of water ,never learned to swim ,so it has to be a fairly good reason for me to concider going on a large boat / ferry ,which I have bravely done while on our winter break to Queensland ..

Have you considered dowsizing your home ,we have ours on the market but homes are very hard to sell in an area where there's no industry only farming and the businesses that support farmers

We live in an "A" Frame house now.. It has 2 bedrooms up and a bathroom.. It has a very large kitchen, laundry room, living room and full bathroom on the main floor.. No basement, crawl space only.. We built a super large patio off the kitchen which we enjoy immensely.. The house is 30 feet by 30 feet which gives us a fairly spacious house but not overly large.. We also have acreage with the land..
It is our last house and I feel it isn't too large for us..
This is really a HUGE downsize from our first house which had just over 3000 sq. ft. of living space in Montreal..

Do you still have time to actually read a book ?? I don't mean on one of those machines, I mean a real book..

No I have to confess I haven't read a book in a long time ,the last book I read was about the one and only woman hung in South Australia ...for allegedly murdering her husband by adding mercury to his food ( she lived in the town where I live )
I believe two mock trials have been staged here ,on the alleged murder ,both have found her NOT GUILTY of the crime she was hung for

Can you remember the title of the last book you read ...

I still read books...I always have one or 2 on the go at any one time... and unless I'm extremely exhausted I always read a few pages of a book before going to sleep every night.

Yes I occasionally watch cooking shows, ..I record them, and watch on my days off.. but I only like certain chefs..

My widowed neighbour 2 doors away who lives alone and is 95 years old... still does all the mowing of his lawns by himself... even though his eyesight now is quite bad...do you still do all your own gardening..?

Yes, I still do most of the digging, mowing, hauling, planting, and whatever needs to be done in our gardens..
I have a Tractor (Husqvarna) that is also a lawn mower, as well as a hauler tractor (with a dump trailer) that I couldn't get along without, considering we have acreage as well as many flower gardens and raised vegetable gardens..
I am not as old as your neighbour, but I am getting up there as well as having a bad shoulder..

Do you have a garden that you plant both flowers and vegetables ???
We have 3 raised gardens for veggies and about 10 flower gardens that my wife takes care of.. I mind the veggie gardens..

No we no longer plant Veggies...we just didn't get around to be able to use everything. Every other year we plant tomatoes and grow them in the hothouse but apart from herbs..we have a Bay tree..a rosemary bush, and basil... we don't grow anything but grass, trees , shrubs and flowers..

No, no coupons as we don't have any way of getting them up here, however we do get some coupons for some of the fast food restaurants that we definitely use...

Do you still get delivered a daily newspaper or do you get the news on line and on TV ????????
We don't have a newspaper up here unless we have it mailed up from the big city and it comes 2 or 3 days late..

No daily newspaper...in fact I bought a hard copy newspaper last week...the very first one in years....apart from when we buy the local regional newspapers when we're abroad..

I read all my news online...the national papers , the local papers and the foreign media...as well as the BBC and lots of other news outlets .. I'm a bit of a news freak..:D

If you were publicly verbally attacked unjustly by someone you thought was a casual friend who accused you of something you hadn't done, and there was no apology from them...would you ever speak to them again..?

NO !!! and this just happened with me when I got a dog bite in December of last year.. The lady doesn't believe I had 3 stitches at the hospital.. She called me a liar and that it wasn't necessary to go to the hospital, however the doctors there thought it was necessary to stitch it up.. She now ignores us completely to which I feel there is NO LOSS.....

When you listen to the radio in the house, do you like popular music or country music??
I listen to our local station that plays yesterdays favourites and todays hits.....
