There are different types of vacations.. We had a camping trailer that we went away every year for about a month to different places, but that isn't a real vacation as I am still cooking, cleaning, and working around the place doing this and that..
Now, there is the other type of vacation where you go to a hotel or resort and just do nothing but enjoy the relaxing.. No cooking or cleaning up.. There is a huge difference in the price but they are both considered vacations..
We sold our trailer a few years ago as it was getting quite the thing to load it up, prepare it, hook it up to our truck, haul it to where we are going, unhook it, set it up, prepare to cook, and then drop dead from exhaustion .. Spend a few days and do the same thing all over again as we moved on to somewhere else......
As far as going to a hotel, it has been about 35 or more years since I did that....

How about if I repeat the same question to hear from someone else about their experiences on vacation....

WE go away on holiday to Spain at least once if not twice every year... we don't stay in an apartment.. we stay at my daughter's guest cottage and yes I cook, but usually only breakfast..and then we eat out at different restaurants at night... Sometimes we'll stay at a holiday rental apartment or villa especially if we're going to Greece or Cyprus.....the last time we were on holiday abroad was 8 months ago..and we'll be going again (God willing)... in 5 weeks time

Big time.. I have been taking arthritis anti-inflammatory pills for years now, and it has helped me to no end..
The reason I have to replace my shoulder is, arthritis, which has made It bone on bone.. It all stems from playing hockey at a young age and in those days there wasn't the pads or protection they have today..

In an ideal world would you prefer to live on the edge of a small town ....a city..... or out in the wilderness where Steve lives...lol

I think I will let someone else answer as my choice is absolutely to live where there isn't any local traffic, neighbours, lots of green space, wild animals, or local pollution.. I enjoy breathing air that hasn't been breathed before..

Ideally I'd prefer to live in the wilderness..where there are very few people... but reality tells me that I need to live where I do, in a village close to a small town where there's doctors, hospitals and shops ..and of course our jobs

Have you ever ridden on the back of an elephant?

I have never gone up in a hot air balloon, I've stood next to some on the ground, and I have a friend who is a member of a group of people who all part own one which flies regularly over my house, but as I'm scared of heights the basket is wayyy too open for me to feel safe going in one... good question...:)

I recently bought a grab rail aid to help me get out of my car on days when the pain is bad with my arthritis ... and also a half step doorstep for my back door so the step up isn't so high

Do you use disability aids for anything?

We have a chair lift in our house to go upstairs..
I installed a grab bar in the bathroom next to the bathtub..
Upon occasion, I use a cane to help me get around and so does my wife..
I have a disability sticker in my car which allows me to park in special zones ..
I got a special nonslip mat for the bathtub so when we take a shower, there is no way we will slip..

As far as I know, that's all for now however as we get older we might need other items..

Do you like to watch on TV some of those violent shows where everyone is killing each other in a gory way ??
We don't watch those kind of shows.. Some people like those shows..

No I never watch what a call shoot em dead movies ,I only need to watch the news if I want to see / hear gloom and doom as I call it

Do you ever change channels or turn the to off during the news ,I rarely watch the news ,now days ...sure it's good to be kept up,to date what's going on around us ,but I get sick of the never ending stories of home invasions, stabbings, car jacking stories that dominate the news

Kind of getting fed up with Donald Trump taking up all of the news.. There is a life after him..
As far as killings goes, we, up here, don't have much of that going on.. Quiet living up here.. We have out local TV and radio stations and they talk lots about the local news, sports, weather, and local politics..
The national channels talk lots about USA politics which is getting a bit repetitious ....
Lately we have been watching programs instead of the news.. We watch the news at 6:00pm and that's all..

it is late at night and I just took a pain killer to allow me to get a decent nights sleep..
I know I should be asking another question but I am not only sleepy but groggy and I can't think properly..
I will pass on the question this time and let someone else ask in my place ..
    Hope you understand......

Thanks and "good night" for me........
