I would be Spain as I already have a Home there .... if not there then probably Australia Name your desert Island 6 songs.. ( no albums or CD's)...
I love the things my ears can do - Charlie Landsborough I love - Tom T. Hall For loving you - Bill Anderson and Jan Howard Dang me - Roger Miller I want a hippopotamus for Christmas - ? My Sombrero ees to beeg - Mel Blanc How do you like my choices?
Pretty good ones Shirley, they show us that quirky side you let us see now and then. When was the last time you thought about whistling at someone?
I have a slight problem with that one.... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WHISTLE.... I tried everything and ......... I CAN'T WHISTLE.. However, that being said, I always want to whistle at my dear wife whom I find very whistle-able at.. Flu season is upon us.. Will you be getting the flu shot ??? We get it every year and I have been getting it for the past 40 years.. NEVER HAD THE FLU...
Yes, I’ll be getting one next week. (P.S. I can’t whistle either. But my hubby could. He learned in the Marines, “He said”. ) Can you spontaneously wink? (I can’t do that either.)
Yes I can wink easily... and I can whistle.. always have been able to..normally and through my fingers as well..like a boy! @Shirley Martin ...I love the hippo song too..I always play it at Christmas it's such fun..... ... and as you know I love Charlie.... but oh I cannot abide Bill Anderson's singing..oooh my poor ears... What song, if it comes on the radio has you immediately grabbing for the OFF switch? ...and what TV programme has you doing the same.. ?
If I hear anything that resembles Heavy Metal Rock, I will turn the radio off.. Can't stand that kind of loud noise.. As far as TV goes, I don't really have control of the remote at all.. I let my wife choose her programs and whatever she watches, I will as well, and if I don't like the program, I will either take a nap or go on the computer..... I keep on teasing her that it is her TV and she can watch what she wants... As I am sort of running out of questions, I will repeat the last one again.....
Three songs Will guarantee me reaching for the off switch. Purple rain, and MULL of Kintyre, and also ,''stuck in the middle with you''by stealers wheel. TV programs which make me turn off tend to be shows like the real housewives of anywhere, or any boring Victorian drama because the historians on those programs never get it right , and I spend the whole Time critiquing the show it takes away any enjoyment. Continue with the same question
I will walk out of the room immediately if any kind of shark show, even if it is a documentary, comes on the screen. Almost as bad for me, are horror movies. What was the funniest mistake you made as a young adult, that you tried to teach your child, or any young person, not to repeat?
I'm not sure it was funny but it was fun. My cousin had a convertible. Sometimes when we were cruising down the back roads, he would sit on the back of the drivers seat. He would steer with his feet while I pressed the accelerator. I wouldn't advise anybody to do that. Why do you think young people don't see the dangers we old folks see?
Because the many of the young subconsciously don’t wish to see reality just yet. If you could make one change in your local homeless community, what would that be?
Would you believe it, but here in Massey we don't have any homeless or any street people.. Actually, we don't even have a food bank that is that active either.. Anyone in trouble with that problem, one of the local businesses will give them a job to help them out........ Now, to answer your question... How about using the system that we use here in Massey.. We help out anyone, or family, that needs help... With Halloween almost here, do you like to watch horror shows or movies ??? Personally, I HATE horror shows or movies.. Some of the very successful movies recently are horror.. I don't understand it, but to each their own.......
@Steve North, your town sounds like a dream, but I don’t see that working for Houston, Texas. Now as far as horror movies are concerned, I’m with you, and I always wonder why people make such movies. Do the authors of such movies never wonder if they might be giving ideas to those that might not have had them in the first place? When you were a child, who did you want to be like when you grew up?
