I had only one ambition when I was a youngster and it was to live to see the next day , which I never expected to do..so I never got as far as thinking I would eventually become an adult much less what I would do when I did....( so I won't go into that any further)... What are you hoping to get as a gift this Christmas? ....and do you have anything special you're giving as a gift for someone else..or do you even buy Christmas gifts any more ?
I don’t. Know that I’d call it Special but I’m thinking of buying my daughter a dash cam for her car ,she’s on the road everyday traveling back and forth to work ..and it’s her birthday on the 26 th December so I normally get her a combined gift of something that useful, rather than stuff that eventually gets thrown out..I used to buy a decent gift ( like expencive shoes ) for my youngest GD ...but now she’s 12 going on 21 ..I just give her cash ..I wouldn’t have a clue what to buy her Do you buy your other half .a gift for Christmas ...or do as I do , give them some money to buy what they want
Since my OH is deceased, I don't have an answer for that question. When he was alive, I bought him a gift. Did you believe in Santa Claus? If you did, when did you find out the horrible truth?
I never had a belief in Santa Clause. Mt father said he was the Devil’s way of destroying the Christian’s belief in in Christ. At 14, I didn’t know if this were true or not, but I wanted my son to have knowledge of Santa and Christ, and then he was grown he would have the same right to make up his mind just as others did and do. But to answer the question, yes I bought extravagant presents for my husband, and now it just seem like Christmas isn’t the same without the long search to for just the right surprise gift for him. If you were single, and someone twenty years younger than you, asked you out, what would be your first response, and with time to think on it, would your answer be the same?
Why would a man twenty years younger than me ask an old biddie like me out? That's a good question, @Ina I. Wonder . My first response would be what I just posted above. I think my answer would be, "Thanks for the compliment but I don't think it would work out." If he was ten years younger, maybe. Would you date a man several years older than you?
Yes, I did that. Michael was ten years older than I. But I remember it freaked me out when someone seven years younger than I asked me out recently. If you could change one thing that is illegal, and make it legal, what would it be???
To be able to watch TV in the Uk without buying an annual licence and the penalty is a High fine and or Prison Yep prison not just jail) ....so that should be illegal to make it illegal... Also in Ireland abortion is illegal and women and young girls have to make an often scared and lonely trip to have it done in the UK...that should be legl in Ireland to permit a woman to do with her body what she wishes.. Also it should be Legal to permit patients who are in pain with little quality of life and terminally ill ... who have expressed a wish to terminate their own lives..to have that wish granted by a Judge and a Doctor without a long protracted court battle. great question tho' @Ina I. Wonder , it really got me thinking, so I'll ask the next person too...
I agree with @Holly Saunders about euthanasia. Abortion is already legal here. The only thing I would add is that it ought to be legal for me to keep a fish no matter how small it is, if it's big enough to eat. I really hate throwing back a 13 ½ inch fish when the size limit is 14 inches. Do you eat fish?
I just came across a picture of me in the pink convertible. We may not have been bad but the Bad didn't mess with us. LOL The color is way off but it is an old picture.
fish... We eat fish at least 3 times a week every week.. We love fish.. I used to fish up here and catch enough that we had my caught fish all winter long for 3 meals a week....... I sold my boat and now we only eat bought fish which is either frozen, canned, or fresh........ Illegal.... We here in Canada are just in the process of legalizing marijuana .. As of July 1st 2018, it will be legal to buy marijuana in stores and have it in your possession, however one still can't drive a vehicle while under the influence... Do you agree with our government in legalizing marijuana.. My opinion is, it will eliminate the drug dealers who deal in it.. it will create a tax revenue that is awesome.. it will give those that need it for medical reasons the right to have it and obtain it legally.. Being government controlled, it won't be any different than tobacco, liquor, or beer..
I agree. I recently talked with someone who has drunk beer and (in the past) smoked marijuana. He said the effects of smoking a marijuana cigarette is about the same as drinking one beer. We have DWI laws against driving while under the influence of any substance. That would include marijuana. I'm not sure that we will ever legalize it, though. The police make loads of money from confiscated items. If a person has an illegal substance in their car or house, the law enforcement can confiscate their car, house, cash, guns, etc. It looks to me like they could make an equal amount through taxes but I'm not sure. Not to mention how much the lawyers make defending drug dealers.
I forgot to ask a question and now there is no edit button. So my question is; where did the edit button go?
Oh.... oh .. I know that answer!!!!.. It only stays here for about 10 to 15 minutes Max! then its gonzo..!
