We call eggplants...Aubergine, and yes we eat it a lot especially in Greek & Italian recipes... ...I love it... Yes we have a landline as well as an Iphone each Now here's a nation divide question... I n the Uk we don't routinely hang flags (the union flag)...from our houses, usually they are only hung from official building and places, so hanging a flag from our homes is seen as low class..... ... in the USA it's the opposite and seen as patriotic to hang the stars and stripes from homes and the American people are not afraid to show their pride for their flag...... ? Do you hang a flag from your home?
No.. We here in Canada don't hang flags as much as those in the USA, however we do on the 1st of July which is our "Canada Day".. That is just about the only time we do it.. Now buildings and some businesses do have a flag flying all the time especially City Halls, police stations, post offices, and Government buildings.. In my case, if I were to hang a flag outside my house, the only ones that would see it is my wife and myself, also our dog, and some wild animals, such as Black Bears, Foxes, Deer, and perhaps some low flying eagles...... Questions are becoming a bit harder to ask.. Do you in your house have carpets, laminate, or hardwood floors?? We here have mostly laminate floors except the kitchen that has tiles and the master bedroom that has carpet.. For safety purposes, we put carpets on the stairs not to slip..
We have tiles in the living ,room dining ,kitchen ,hallway and wet areas ..all the rest carpet ( single story house ) Do you shop around for the best electricity prices ..we have the highest electricity prices in the world in SA ,despite that our winter account was just under $50 ..( we have a small solar system)according to the tv and radio news the average bill is $2.500 a quarter ..I don’t know how people run bills up like that ....they obiviously don’t hang washing out ( use a dryer ) and must have @ heater / air con on day and night ...I’d die if I got a bill like that ...
We can't shop around. Our electric company has a monopoly. We have something called a Utility Commission that is supposed to look out for our interest. Hah! Good luck with that. What is your favorite time of day?
Nights just before bed time as I am on the computer and unwinding before going to bed.... Are you a night owl or an early bird ?? Do you go to bed early or late?? Do you get up early in the morning or late?? We are definitely night owls as I don't go to bed till way after 1:00am if not later than that.. Often I am up on here till after 2:00am.. Annmarie goes to bed even later than me.. Unless we have an appointment or something to do, we don't get out of bed till almost noon...

When I was a teen, I was involved with a band called "Bartholomew + 3" ..... They later changed their name to ..... B+3 ... I played back-up guitar with them.. We did have a few original songs that we composed but we never made it big, although some of the songs did make it to the top 50 on the music charts.. That suited me fine as playing the guitar was just a hobby and I wasn't interested in making it big.. When you were a teenager, did you have a record collection?? What ever happened to those records?? I left all my records to my sister when I moved away....
Yes I had a record collection...and I still have the vast majority of those original records in my loft today... Every year on Christmas day I like to play a game of trivial pursuit using the board ...rather than playing online.. Years ago I used to play trivial a lot and in a team as well as scrabble also cribbage and checkers .. not now tho'... Do you enjoy playing board games ...and if so which ones?

a curse... as a kid, I had much more fun than the kids of today.. I was outside very often even if the weather wasn't the greatest.. We dressed warm for winter and we got wet when it rained.. We had loads of friends.. I can go on and on, but I think you have an idea of what I am meaning.. Do you call your children or do you wait for them to call you???? In our case, we have no choice but to wait for them to call us, however they are pretty good at keeping in touch..
