I've never had a job house sitting but I would certainly do it. I would want to know something about the people first. If you had a choice, would you take a plane or a train for a trip?
No way would I take a long train trip ..again ..to long and boring....I did the Perth ..Western Aust trip a couple of years ago two days and nights on the train . What do you use to keep warm ...Gas ..(not not petrol) ......or a electric heater / air cond
I have a heat pump. My house is total electric. I used to have a gas stove a long time ago. It would go Poof! every time I lit a burner. I was afraid of it. Have you had a gas appliance? Did you like it?
Gas central heating here... ..and btw if I had the time to take the travel..I would definitely go by train..I love trains, but they are so expensive here to travel on...we always fly now... Has a tourist to your area ever said anything funny or strange to you or within earshot?
Here’s the trip I went on,it’s very expencive http://www.greatsouthernrail.com.au...MIr5OfnJ-D2AIVAQ4rCh0IXgb7EAAYASAAEgLHSPD_BwE
Not that I can recall. An online friend once sent me a cross that she got when she visited the Holy Land. She was a devout Christian so I know it meant a lot to her. I treasure it for that reason. What was the most treasured gift you ever received?
A gold signet ring...when I was a child Is there a 'housekeeping' job you always do before Christmas?
We used to do our own cleaning, but since I had my shoulder operation, it became quite the chore for only one person to do everything.. To make matters worse, my wife just had an ankle replacement and she can't weight bear for at least 6 weeks.. We now have a cleaning lady that comes here every second week to do what we can't do anymore, like floors, vacuuming, dusting, and general cleaning up....... I still do the bed linens, washing, cooking, kitchen maintenance, sweeping when needed, vacuuming when needed, food shopping, walking the dog, just to name a few..... Phew.... No wonder I'm tired.... I also take care of my wife who needs attention like bathing, and catering to.. OK..... With Christmas only a few days away, ARE YOU READY ?????? This year we cancelled Chanukah and Christmas.. We will be going out to the Legion for Christmas dinner, but that's all....
I hope I'm ready. If not, too bad. All the stores have closed. Nothing is stirring, not even a mouse. Do you have a favorite pie- dessert that you have at Christmas- Hanukah? If so, what is it?
My favourite pie is usually "Humble Pie"..............LOL Whatever looks good and is homemade, not that bought commercial stuff full of "who know what".... One apple can make about 3 pies.. C'mon !!! Usually my wife would make a Pavlova for dessert, but this year, forget it as she still is in a cast.. It is still my favourite dessert.. Next would be a trifle that she also makes.. Usually for dessert at holiday time we both get a BIG KISS AND HUG ..... Now that is sweet enough (and no calories).... Isn't it wonderful, that, when you are not at home, calories don't count....... Now for my question...... Christmas is almost over... How did it go at your house with all the fuss you made ??? We had a very quiet Christmas as usual....
We had a noisy, happy Christmas. The only problem was that I came down with a cold a few days before. I am a generous person but I truly hope I didn't share that with anyone. With all the good food, I seem to have put on a couple of pounds. Do you have any good advice about an easy way to get rid of them. Remember, I said, easy.
LOW CARB will always be very easy and IT WORKS !!! Personally I lost about 150 pounds on LOW CARB ......
I was just kidding about the diet. It will go away as soon as I go back to eating as I normally do. The best way to diet: if it tastes good, spit it out! My son gave me a Walmart gift card. I had been looking at the Copper Chef fry pan. My sister brought some food in hers at Christmas. She loves it. It costs $60 so I would pick it up, look it over and put it down. I'd tell myself, "That's too much for a fry pan." After I got the gift card, I thought, "What the heck. It's free!" So I bought it. Have y'all ever heard of Copper Chef? Any opinions?
