My wife will do that, I am sure. For many, I suspect that forum activities may be a private thing, not that they are ashamed or embarrassed to be participating in a forum, but that it may be something that doesn't come up in conversation outside of the forum. Others, of course, may truly be alone.
I think so. Didn’t he just recently pass away ? Yes, he is on our “In Memorium” section of this forum, @Marci Pankratz . If you look at the section called “People I Have known”, there is a sub-section for the members who have passed on. Ken also puts the avatar as a little wreath for anyone who is no longer here with us. http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/robert-teale-r-i-p.17559/
I occasionally mention stuff that I read on forums to my husband, but he's not a "forum guy" so it's not much of a conversation.
STEVE NORTH IS BACK ! ! We have been SO worried about you, @Steve North ! Glad that you are back, hoping that everything is okay ? Well, that was fast. He was here, messaged someone, and then left again. So not sure what that means, but at least he was here and that part is good.
@Von Jones hasn't been in the forum since Monday, and she's usually here pretty much every day. I hope everything is okay with her. It's only been a few days, though, so I suppose we can allow for a vacation.
Since she is also dealing with an unexpected death in her family right now, my guess would be that she is just busy (maybe overwhelmed) with that, and will get back again when things are not so hectic in her life.
I nearly forgot, but Robert Teale was not his real name. It was Bill and Robert was his fishing buddy who had passed away some years ago. Bill was asked by Robert to dispose of his worldly goods as he had no family and Bill did except for his lap top which Bill gave him in the first place. Time passed and Bill opened the lap top, and responded to his friend's emails so that folks would know he had passed. When Bill attempted to join this forum, he was denied due to problems with his email, so he decided to try Robert's. It worked and in his friend's memory, created his cosy corner music thread. He told a moderator here what he had done and was offered to straighten things out re: his email, but decided to leave it as it was.
