This is Live today I believe, the video was put on youtube an hour ago so I could be wrong about it being live today. It's on De Santis getting ready to deploy Florida's National Guard to border (I'm assuming Texas border), might be of interest to some:

I still like Ron DeSantis, and see his record as being excellent for issues that are important to me. I only had one reason, well, the main one "for" Ron, was that he let himself either be led by his popularity with people in other States, and I though he'd be better waiting for 2028. But he sure did the right thing in my eyes backing out, but suspending it so if they jail Trump, and completely get away with blocking him from being the candidate, I would vote for Ron over Nikki any day, and definitely over another 4 years from biden admin. which I do not believe our country would survive at all.

I looked on Twitter just to see what kind of a following each of the Republican candidates has on that platform, and I also included Tucker Carlson just out of curiosity. Here are the results , as of today. I have followed Trump for some time, and his followers have been that high for several years now, and he has not lost or gained much. At this time, RFK is no longer running as a Democrat, but as an Independant, so I included him, too.

    Donald Trump-87.4 M
    Tucker Carlson -11.4 M
    RFK - 2.7M
    Ron Desantis - 2.3 M
    V. Ramaswamy - 2M
    Nikki Haley - 1M

Those could be of other countries as well right Yvonne? I see a lot of folks, like on Youtube that are in live-chats etc. from other countries that seem to like Trump as much as if they were citizens like us. Tucker Carlson has come a long way in a short time, especially since he left Fox, maybe best thing that ever happened to him. What I love about Tucker Carlson (is anyone saw his interview with Jordan Peterson, can't remember the 3rd guy) is the one of the most humble people I've heard speak in a long time! I know he doesn't always sound that way, but he sure can be when someone corrects him in a proper way ;)

I think with Trump, a lot of people just can't wait to hear what he's going to say next, lol! I've always like President Trump because he says what I want to say, and what I'm thinking. Of course, I dislike greatly what comes out of my mouth sometimes, and also, what I think at times :(

Yes, since Twitter is worldwide, these followers are from everywhere; but I was just curious to see what the representation looked like for each of them, and then thought I would share it here since not everyone looks at Twitter.
That being said, I believe that Trump would be much more likely to have an international following than the rest of the candidates, and Tucker is , of course, now getting more international attention as well, which is probably why he has so many followers.
I never do chats, or even look at them; but I am not surprised that you are finding people in chats from all over, @Denise Evans .

Another interesting thing that I was reading the other day, was about Tucker and Fox and Twitter. According to what I was reading, Elon Musk and Rupert Murdoch were seen together at some sports event (Olympic games?), and soon after that, Tucker was released from Fox. So, one wonders if that whole thing was orchestrated beforehand ?
Musk would probably have known that Tucker would do really well on Twitter, and I think it is possible that this whole thing was worked out privately, maybe between all three of them.

I'm not "in" chats, I can't keep up, but I read some of them if an event with Trump is live ;) Too many trolls in those chats too, yuck! I sort of wish Trump hadn't built Truth Social, and I'm getting off topic here, but wondered how that platform is doing?? I wish he was still on Twitter ;)

Yesterday, I was reading that Ron Desantis is saying that he will start doing fundraising for President Trump.
This is a good thing, in my opinion.
It is possible that Desantis was a Good Guy all the time, and just playing a part, to help Trump.
By declaring that he was running against Trump, and getting financial support from many anti-Trumpers, and even Democratic support, he wasted their money for something that came to nothing.

Any supporters that Desantis has will follow him as he campaigns for Trump, just like the Ramaswamy people are doing, and now both of them will be out campaigning for Trump.

It is completely possible that Trump and Desantis set this whole fake campaign up to waste liberal campaign finances, because Trump is a master at playing tricks like this on his opponents and make them cause their own problems.

Maybe it is fight-fire-with-fire, but I think more that Ron DeSantis has always been a good guy, I still think being in the spotlight maybe made him think he should run if he wasn't sure that Trump could get back in the Whitehouse. He is no dummie imo, and just wants what he believes is best for America. From what I hear, he calls some amazingly wonderful shots for Florida, and probably why Trump and many billionaires support him as governor. I think he would be an excellent VP, but who really know for sure who would be best ;)

I was sad when Desantis announced his presidential run. I thought we needed good governors just now and he seemed exceptional. Turns out we need them more than ever to fight the Federal gov't too.

My take on DeSantis is that he is an establishment conservative Republican, maybe not a neoconservative on all issues, but certainly in favor of continuing the progressive agenda of neverending wars. This didn't get in the way of his performance as governor of Florida since it's probably been a while since Florida has declared war on anyone.

Despite the fact that he is heralded as a champion by those who were opposed to the masks, vaccinations, and other craziness of the COVID era; before he assumed that role, people were being arrested for going to the beach in Florida while COVID restrictions were on. True enough, Trump was in the same camp. IMO, Trump's biggest failure was in letting Dr. Fauci assume control of the government during the last couple of months of his presidency. While I think that DeSantis was following rather than leading the fight against COVID craziness, he did get on board eventually, so that was good.

Seeing his growing popularity among the same people who supported Trump, the true neoconservatives in the Republican Party and the Democrats saw in him a chance to avoid a Trump candidacy in 2024. DeSantis' greatest error was in being willing to be that Trojan Horse, likely due to vanity and personal ambition, but he wasn't up to the game at that level, and he didn't recognize it until he had gone too far. He might have some trouble regaining his popularity.

That's the way I see it, anyhow.

If he is campaigning for Trump, he may bring some of the Neocons into the Trump camp. If Trump chooses him as VP, it may contaminate his message though. Trump said he would not choose any of those running against him as a running mate; I don't know if he will go back on that statement or not. I still thin Kristi Noem would be a good choice. She is form a different area of the country and understands the rural life, which Trump nor DeSantis do. She is also an attractive woman, which hails back to thoughts of Sarah Palin, but Trump doesn't need the attention like John McCain did (Trump isn't a boring person like McCain). Unlike Palin, Noem has a good track record as governor through the trials of Covid and was, I think, the only governor to keep her state open through the entire pandemic.

I think many are mad at Desantis for running against Trump. I do think Desantis is a better person but sometimes we ned somebody who can beat the enemy at their own game, and Trump did do that. Only thing is they kept him in kangaroo courts the whole time he has been in politics.
