True but wether democrat or republican, he shouldn't have passed the background check. It does seem like that farm has a few undocumented workers...willing to bet a few aren't showing up for work today. Also the source for that info I posted was Fox News.
Here is my theory as to what and why... Even though he was an illegal and was in the US for about 4-7 yrs, he was an employee in good standing according to the farm owner. Had no police record or priors. Probablyj knew of Mollie since this was a small rural area and she was FB friends with the mother of his baby. Mollie went jogging that night, he was in the area in his car and started following her (don't know why)...he got out at one point and started running with her. He probably was being obnoxious and wouldn't leave her alone...she went for her iPhone and said she was calling the police....I'm sure that panicked him....considering he was an illegal. They could have struggled with the phone, he got violent, killed her and that's when he says he blacked out and the next thing he remembers is being by that cornfield where he dumped her. This is just my opinion. I really followed this case from its onset. The dad used to live in Fresno at one point. Also following that sick father and husband who killed his pregnant wife and 2 little girls near Denver Colorado.
I'm not saying they're not but have read that the farm was owned by a Republican family... My point is the murder of a young woman not wether the farm owner was Republican or democrat....I really don't care... The ball was dropped... It's dropped a lot but this was a story I followed and was passionate about....that's all. I'd expect to read this story in CA or even TX but not in rural Iowa where they don't lock their doors at night.
Actually if you think about it, this story is good for both sides of the political aisle...if the farm owner is indeed Republican. For the democrats....republican had illegals working for him For the Republicans, she was killed by an illegal. And that's all I'm going to say on this...the whole story upsets me.
Although I feel more for the family of Mollie, I also feel for his parents....they look like decent people. What I don't understand is...are they legal? If they are, wonder why the son isn't? If they're not legal....aren't they afraid to be sitting in court? Anybody know?? @Don Alaska or @Ken Anderson .....
The rabid opposition to Trump leads many people to say and do really stupid stuff. I'm sure no one saw or heard any apology. It would have been buried.
The reason nothing ever gets done about immigration is that there are plenty of Republican donors who want the cheap wages that illegal immigration brings, particularly in the agricultural industries. Most of our problems are not clear Republican-Democrat issues.
I am neither Ken nor Don but the idea that there is an anchor baby in the midst of all this might serve as some sort of prosecution relief for the whole of the family.
