Yesterday I had a storm damaged tree that we decided to remove. A redbud tree, not too big but still big enough since it was growing halfway down a 12 foot embankment above the small creek that runs from our lake. I got some rope and decided to cut the several trunks one at a time and pull the out from the other side. It was all I could do to get to the tree with my saw it was so steep. I cut the first trunk as High as I could reach then went across the creek to pull it out. It was moving very well so I moved over a few feet to get a different angle. I tugged and stepped back tripped over an old stump and fell flat on my back in a patch of poison ivy. I decided it was too big so I got the saw, tied a rope around a tree to hold on to and went to the bottom to cut it into smaller pieces, tied rope around each piece, pulled myself back to the top and pulled the limbs up. I had to do this over and over and one trip as I was nearing the bottom holding onto the rope I got off balance and started swinging sideways and ended up flat on my back in the creek. I finally got it done but I was worn to a frazzle. If any of you are familiar with frazzles you know that aint good.

I wish you a speedy recovery! I saw on NCIS in an episode that calamine lotion was good for poison ivy attacks. Webmd.com has a good article of what to do when you've got poison ivy problems. Happy Anniversary and hope you feel better soon!
