I posted ^^this^^ November 13, 2021. (I missed the anniversary by a day.) I made another batch this evening. I'll let it sit for a couple of days to meld.
I ran to Walmart earlier to pick up a few things. Conveniently located (blocking the aisle) was a big display of Thanksgiving stuff, including a bunch of fresh baked pies. I tried to escape but the pumpkin just jumped into my basket. I'm looking forward to my first piece of pumpkin pie for the season in a little while with my coffee. I hope it doesn't suck since so many of the grocery store pies do. And @Yvonne Smith , I thought of you as I cruised past the eggnog.
I like Heath bars. I use to drizzle vanilla ice cream with Kalhua and sprinkle crushed Heath bars on it.
Vanilla ice cream sprinkled with plain dark chocolate, now and then 2 bite size Hersheys or Butterfinger. Jakes scratch low sugar cookie.
I had some chocolate left over from making the brittle so I melted it in the microwave and poured it over vanilla ice cream. The chocolate set up like those DQ dipped cones. I guess chocolate syrup has got some antifreeze in it.
Yup. It's got possibilities. I need to figure out how to get a thinner coating on the ice cream, because the chocolate sets up almost as soon as it hits the cold, no matter how thick the chocolate is. I see calories in my future...
