The trail that leads to Nowheresville, Daddy-O. And don't you just hate it when most of the bag of M&Ms are Ws? All I can say is Walmart's return policy sucks!
I just whipped up a cherry cream pie so I will be indulging in a big slice with my coffee in a while. Then I will likely stalk it for a couple of days.
Now that I have my Excalibur dehydrator and all 4 air-fry baskets for my Breville, I made a proper batch of cinnamon/chocolate/cocoa powder almonds: I soak (overnight), dehydrate (24 hours), then air fry the almonds before coating them with a cinnamon/sugar syrup, then with chocolate, then with Dutch cocoa powder, letting them sit in the fridge for a while in between each step. Since I was going through the extended process of soaking/dehydrating/air-frying, I did (2) bags of almonds, coating only one bag and setting the other in-process bag aside to coat later. I'm trying to figure out a better way (or a better wire rack) to lay the almonds out to sit in the fridge after I coat them with syrup, and to lay them out to sit in the fridge again after being coated with the melted chocolate. They cannot touch each other in order to dry properly, and my wire rack's holes are just large enough for them to fall through. Some videos show the person plucking the almonds out of the chocolate coating with two forks...one at a time. Laying the almonds out for each coating to sit is the most tedious, time-consuming part. And you gotta do it twice.
Made a second batch of Coconut Cookies. There are much better. I didn't toast the coconut this time (I think doing so dries out the coconut), and I pulled them from the oven sooner. -More chewier -More moister -More tastier
I know someone who used to eat plainly salted (like lays) potato chips and then follow it with a couple of those Little Debbie chocolate donuts. A couple of other people I know throw m & ms into their freshly popped popcorn.
How about buying and cutting (retrofitting) a piece of aluminum window screening? Seems like it would work?
I worry about food contamination. It shouldn't be that big of a deal, since these are not being heated...but I'm pretty cautious about that stuff.
Is that something you started eating as an adult or from childhood? If more people could eat that I guess there would be lots of health benefits from the garlic. I like cooking with garlic but I don't think I'd have the guts to try a full garlic sandwich. But yes, I bet your wife can smell it forever!
You could buy it, steam clean the hell out of it or bleach it real good like in a bucket or something. I don't know. I was just thinking of the rack you were talking about needing smaller gaps. Screening just came to mind. Anyway, you could cut to exactly the size you need with some tinsnips. Just a thought.
Oh, yeah. Martha Stewart showed how to roast them before coating. I gave them a few minutes in the air fryer to toast them a bit. So very, very good (Martha and the almonds).
