That was the president of Argentina, who I believe is still trimming his government to stabilize the economy.

Good ol' Lindsay Graham is pulling a Biden-type carrot/stick game with Ukraine. "We will give you billions of dollars if you draft a lot more people into your military. Reports abound of other European nations deporting people who fled the Ukraine war back to Ukraine to be drafted. I think they are conscripting everyone between 16 and 60 now, as their human resources are very low. There is no way this war can continue without NATO putting troops into the country. Ukraine simply does not have enough people. China has announced it will take sides with Russia militarily if that is done, so we are in for a wild ride for the next few months/years.

I wonder if Lindsay is going to fight on the front lines, or send his children and grandchildren to do that??

I think we should be careful about wanting to emulate Argentina. The gains that came there were accompanied by the suspension of rights. If you don't count what the government itself was doing, the streets were probably safe in 1940s Berlin.

Lindsey Graham has a military background but served with the Judge Advocate General's Corps in the U.S. Air Force and as an Air Force prosecutor in Europe.

Curiously, he adopted his sister so that she could receive his military benefits.

Being a JAG is not like being in combat. Ask @Bobby Cole

I have always advocated that any in the legislature that votes for war had to include at least one of their own children, if not themselves, into the military service. Maybe that is why we haven't had any 'legal' wars?

I’m not a fan of Lindsey Graham but he is 68 years old. I doubt that he will be going to war. I don’t believe he’s ever been married or has children.

His parents died when his sister was 13 years old and he became her guardian.

Actually his bio and military service is kind of interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindsey_Graham
