Some Old Kitchens

Lois, I had to look up the definition of a walk in fireplace. Sounded dangerous.

 

That reminds me of my grandma's kitchen. She had a bread box almost just like that, and I see the pull-out cutting board in the cabinet above the little girl's head.

 

I've never seen this thread. It is SO interesting! Thanks @Nancy Hart for starting it.

This is the actual kitchen of my ancestors (I'm 5th generation as per historical book) which is now part of a national park in Georgia.


And this is the house it is in.

 

I guess it does, Nancy, but not so. It was great I can tell you.

 

Purples are my favorite color...but this is just too much color for me.
