You know, these sorts of unproven and unlikely allegations, like the baseless accusations of racism, are becoming the opposite of what they are intended for. I don't know that I'd trust anyone who wasn't accused of racism and/or sexual improprieties because that would indicate that the Democrats aren't taking them seriously.
Maybe there’s some merit to that. In order to have heard Paul Harvey, one has to be somewhat old and maybe instead of writing like an accomplished and well tuned professor, Ed is simply writing like an old crodgity “get off my grass” cynic. I mean, I can kinda relate to that but I do wait until someone is actually on my grass before yelling Get Off My Grass.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy and leading Republicans are expected to soon make good on a vow to keep three Democrats from seats on influential committees in the new House. McCarthy's focus is Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, two California lawmakers who have served on the House Intelligence Committee. "Speaker McCarthy confirms that Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar are getting kicked off the Intel and Foreign Affairs Committees. Promises made. Promises kept!" Rep. Troy Nehls, a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, tweeted on Tuesday.
I'd heard today that he's kicking them offf all committee assignments...Don't know if that's true, but I like that even better...Democrats shouldn't be on any committees..They are domestic terrorists bent on making the USA a third world nation.
Remember how hard it was and how many votes (15) it took for Kevin McCarthy to win the Speaker of the House position? Today the House of Representatives is voting on a measure to oust him as Speaker. This is at the instigation of Matt Gaetz (R-FL) who has introduced a motion to vacate the chair. Who would take McCarthy’s place if this happens? Is it possible that we will end up with Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), current minority leader, as Speaker?
