Don’t worry, Bobby, just some of us get carried away with things, even if it’s not about the original thread.
This knee thing has long run it's coarse and I think people are completely bored with it. They can put their efforts toward much more significant things. They protested. People understand why they did. Now see what they can do. BTW there was also a video of a white woman getting hit in the head by police on some beach. Apparently she was underage drinking and refused to show an ID. She did not deserve a beat down.
I don't recall school prayers when I was in school. It wouldn't have shocked me so it's entirely possible that I just don't remember it, but I don't think school prayer was a part of my experience in either elementary or high school. There were occasions when they had us do the pledge to the flag but that wasn't an everyday thing, either. I think the Star Spangled Banner was played at football games but when I went to football games, I was usually looking for some girl who didn't want to stick around for the game or something. I paid very little attention to anything on the football field.
I do remember the Lord's Prayer all the way to high high school...then it became an issue...think it was Madelaine Murray ( not sure of the name) but it was then that we had the option of just being quiet for a minute if we didn't want to pray.
