I don't think you have to worry here. It seems very well moderated from what I can tell. I've only seen friendly conversation here. I actually kind of love the way everybody acts like decent human beings. Anyway, if anyone shows up here and starts to be a d-bag, I've got your back. And I'm really good at being mean to mean people. Until then, lets continue playing the "Where is Sheldon from", game. So, does the state you're from still enforce blue laws? Is it a state or a common wealth?
It appears to me that Sheldon wants to remain anonymous, since he stated that. It doesn't look to me like you have been anynore forthcoming about where you are from than @Sheldon Scott has, since you only said that you sre from the South, @Jennifer Graves , and that is exactly what he has said, too.
I'm from Cottage grove, Tennessee. I have lived in Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Several spots in each of those states, too. I've never been shy about it. Anyone who has asked has been told. And more than once I've told without being asked. I was playing around with Sheldon. After the hint regarding the confederacy, it sounded like a fun guessing game to me. It was all in good fun before your comment.
No problem Jennifer. I spent two years at Seward Air Force Base near Nashville, Tennessee. Here's a hint, the state I'm from is on the other side of Big Muddy from you.
I bet you seriously stand out in a teal blue suit. I can imagine you would stand out in a crowd. Seriously, though, I've never heard of Shell Scott, but I love a good detective story. How do they comapre with Sherlock?
Ha,ha. I got hooked on Shell Scott probably before you were born. When I was in the USAF we would pass his books around the barracks. The crimes he solved were somehow secondary to the capers he got into while investigating them. I found a few of his books at a used book store a couple of years ago.
Maybe you got into him so much because his name is so similar to yours lol I'm kidding!! If you're on the other side of the mississippi, I think I know where you are. If I'm right, you are in the same state I went crystal mining in. We spent a week camping out and mining for bags and bags of quartz crystals.
I didn't know about the diamonds. But when I went home with a larger collection of crystals than anyone I knew, all pulled out of the ground by my very own hands... it felt like diamonds. I've been wanting to go back and do it again. The truth is, that area would be my ideal retirement spot. I loved it. Except for the bugs. They say everything is bigger in Texas. They obviously haven't seen your insects.
Okay, we've reached these benchmarks, with: 100 members 1,315 threads 11,035 posts Although there are a few members who have registered with handles rather than names. I have messaged them, so I am hoping they make that change in their member names soon. Otherwise, I give them a week or two before deleting the accounts. Added later... To clarify, when I refer to "real names," I am not suggesting that you have to use your actual name. You may use a pseudonym if you wish, as long as it looks like a real name.
I just deleted the member accounts that were created using handles rather than names, so that puts us back at 97, below 100. Not a big deal, as we'll get there soon.
97 is so close! I've been mentioning it to some friends here and there. Hopefully they'll come check it out.
