HE …dose .. @Ken Anderson the owner was thinking about having him put to sleep because of his peeing issue.

Can you please turn the photo of Wiggles in his bed please

She contacted me over Christmas and I asked how Wiggles was and she didn’t answer my question so hopefully she re homed him in preference to having him put down

I don't know. I USED to have red hair. And it wasn't really red--more auburn. But there are red and white cows. I don't think there are red and white horses (sorrel, blood bay) although a famous kid's book was called The Red Pony...

I refer to Ella as being yellow and white. Along the same lines, however, gray cats are referred to as blue.

This was our first cat we took care of in 2018 a Russian blue…..seen supervising DH

He was forever tormented by his younger rag doll “ sister “ who’d walk past him and flick its tail under his nose , …..then the RD would stand looking confused as why the Russian blue had a swipe at her ….

I was able to snap off a quick pic of the calico. The box and bedding is Yvonne’s gift to the cats but like I previously wrote, I think they like the chairs more if only to be able to see their surroundings.

Such a pretty calico kitty! Calico's are generally female cats. It looks like she has a smile for her photo op. :)

That looks a lot like the cat that was on my property when I first moved in. The place was vacant for at least 6 years before I arrived. I believe the cat was living in an old chicken coop, but vanished within a year of me taking up residence. I don't know what happened to it. I could never approach it.

As long as I sit in my chair and mind my own business, she goes about the porch like I’m not even there.
That said, if I stand up or even when I picked up the Ipad to take the picture, she may sit like she’s trying to decide what to do but then, gone.

So, we have been feeding the stray cats for several months now. It seems to be working out to the benefit of both us and the cats.
We have WAY fewer squirrels in the yard than usual now, and very few rats anymore, too. We still have to make a way for the cats to get to the rats that go underneath the house, and @Bobby Cole has a plan of how to do that.

The cats have gotten a lot more used to being around humans, and they happily visit Bobby when he is out on the porch.
They are still not as sure about me, because i am mostly inside the house where they do not see me, and Bobby is always outside on the front porch so he can smoke cigarettes.

One of the cats had kittens somewhere near our house, probably in or around the woodpile out by the driveway. We had no idea they were there ,but now they are out and about, and frolicking around in the driveway and the yard.

One morning, Bobby was outside early (around 4AM), and she had the kittens up on the porch to eat cat food, which is how we discovered that there were kittens . Now, they are coming out more and more, so maybe they will gentle down some.
In any case, since they were born here, and get fed here, they should stay here and catch the rats and squirrels for us.

If we had a larger live trap, would could maybe catch them and get them neutered, so they do not add to the feral cat population . I think that the animal control loans out traps for people, but I am not sure about that.
This is two of them, there are the two yellow ones and a grey one.

Today, I was mowing our back yard, and saw the gray feral/stray cat that I feed walking down the tracks behind the house. I shut the mower off and called to him.

"Hey kitty, are you hungry? Come on, I'll get you some something to eat."

I went into the house to put some cat food in a bowl for him, thinking I'd bring it to the back yard for him, since he was in the back. But, when I opened the door to go out with the food, he was waiting for me by the front porch.

I've never been able to pet him (the black one let me do that once) but I've been feeding him for years. I haven't really put much of an effort into taming them because then I might feel tempted to bring them in during a cold winter, and I can't bring another large male cat into the house. That wouldn't be fair to Ella, and Bubba probably wouldn't like it much either. I'm pretty sure that both the gray cat and the black one aren't feral. I think they were someone's cat once, but were probably dumped either when someone moved or when someone decided they weren't cute anymore, or whatever. I've tried giving them warm(er) places to sleep in the winter but they don't use them.
