Yes. When someone streams a movie, it's the same thing, only longer. In fact, YouTube has full movies.

Yes. Now you need to figure out how to get that "stream" to your 65" 4k TV. :D

Cody, I respect your careful handling of your DVD's and CD's!

I use a screwdriver to pry mine out of the package and carry 'em to and from the player with vise-grips. Haven't dropped one yet!

Unless someone is writing for you, your expressive abilities deny the presence of early Alzheimer's, IMO. Riding a 2-wheel bike may have more to do with the inner-ear than anything else. Just surmising, given the evidence.

Frank, I assure you that all my posts to this Forum are from my own mind and hand, although the words do not come as readily as before.

My daughter has Masters degrees in Literature and Creative Writing, and is the published Author of four books. She is now planning a Novel.

I'm pretty sure that some of that talent was inherited from me!

    Cheers,

I'll take streaming video. Thanks. (Anything I don't have to dust or organize will always win.)

I like streaming much better, too, but Hal has no way to upgrade from just using the DVDs and no way to play streaming videos, so it is good that he is content with what he does have.

    Frank and others...

I'll never watch a movie that I can't physically hold in my hand, such as a Disc, a Tape, or a Reel.

If you've collected timeless Classic films that you can enjoy for life as I have, you don't need to upgrade!

I've been watching the VHS tape of "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" for 35 years, and it hasn't degraded in the slightest!

In my opinion, streaming video belongs to those who can't have it in proper neat, orderly form.

It seems that , yet again, @Hal Pollner , you have asked everyone to explain something or help you learn how to do something that you haven’t done before, only to then end up insulting everyone who tries to help you.

How long do you think that everyone is going to respond to your threads if all you want to do is ridicule and insult people who care enough about you to try and answer your questions ?
I am pretty much done trying to help out.

Shoot, Yvonne...you just don't like anyone's opinions that go against yours, do you?

It would be much better if you'd grow up and remove your biased views and RECOGNIZE that there are those that might want to politely disagree!

But I'm not worried...I know that when you've corrected your mindset, you'll be willing to help me out again...in fact, I'm depending on it!

@Hal Pollner, no one can help you with any of the problems that you pose, largely because you're not really looking for an answer. I know, going in, that you are going to reject any and every suggestion that anyone makes and that there are no solutions that will work for you. If you were to ask how to boot up a program on your computer, and someone suggested clicking on the icon, even if they included a video showing precisely how to do that, you would insist either that it didn't work or that you don't want to boot up any programs anyhow. I don't mind so much, because I don't expect anything else. You pose a question and others give answers so, as far as I am concerned, the thread isn't a waste of time. But for someone who actually wanted to help you figure out something that you were trying to figure out, it can be discouraging.

As far as streaming movies go, I don't need no stinking movies. I don't need no lousy DVDs either. If these actors want me to view their performances, they can damned well come over here and perform for me in my living room. As long as they put the furniture back where it belongs when they're done.
