Oh I know very well I am in the minority on that and always have been my thought always have been if I have time to watch someone else do something I could be doing something I enjoy instead. Stuck mostly homebound here due to weather today!
I don't think you are in the minority on this Forum as we didn't even have a Sports section until a short time ago.
I haven't missed watching a Superbowl for quite some years. Since this is my first 'retired' event, looking forward to sleeping in on Monday. If the weather forecast holds up, it should be in the low 60's at kickoff so I'll be setting up a TV outside and getting the fire pit ready, for those who want to hang outside. As far as the teams go, I once again do not have a favorite playing, but that has never stopped me from getting excited about a good play. The past season for us here in Nashville was not what I expected, hoping 2019 we will fare better. We always have a great time attending the games here. Great Fans. Just a reminder, ( I'll do another one close to the event ), the NFL Draft will take place here in Nashville April 25 - 27. I'll be downtown, wearing my 'colors' and enjoying the events.
I haven't watched an nfl game all year and not a bit interested in the super bowl. I do like college football although the razorbacks have been terrible lately.
My Honey and I will sit this Super Bowl out in honor of our Saints who should have been playing in it.
I will hopefully be watching another 3 Stooges marathon and hope they show it again darn sure not football. We usually get invited to friends or cook here most Sunday's but probably will not go due to what they will be glued to their tv and game, may try to fish.

If I had to bet, ( the current line being Patriots are a 2.5 pt favorite with the over/under at 56.5 ), I'll take the Rams and the points. As it happens in football, defense wins games a lot the time and with players like Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh for the Rams, they'll keep the Patriot's offensive off the field. Throw in the Rams running back, Todd Gurley and this should give the Rams the much needed edge to get the win. Just Tim's ramble; not a statement on 'no-calls'...
I will watch and cheer for the Rams. I loved the old rivalry between the San Francisco 49 ers & Rams and I am a 49er fan going back to the days of YA Tittle their quarterback. I went to high school with John Brodie

I'm thinking this is 'Fake News'; Tom is set to retire in 2047 at the beginning of the season. " Since I will be 70, I'll be at the full retirement age so I can collect my full Social Security checks. Sure will come in handy..."
