I pick and choose my superstitions not that I believe them but just for what they stand for, like the horseshoe for prosperity. I have one on my front door. I was told by a former co-worker that a woman should never lay her purse/pocketbook/bag on any floor at any time because you can lose money. I never heard of that one before.

Could you get more Lion Dogs?

I'm not overly superstitious. I knock wood and wear a little Hamsa on my name tag at work. At that place, I need all the protection I can get.

I don't consider myself lucky in the least. But when I've had car trouble, I've always been in a safe place like home or once my car stopped working right off a freeway off ramp instead of on the freeway which was a good thing. This was long before cell phones so then I could easily walk to a phone.

I have nowhere now to put the lion dogs Kitty - oh that sounds funny :D
I do admit I have a little ritual that I do, so I guess I do have a little of the superstition in me and just keep it
contained to a sensible level :)

I have worn my Tailsman since I was 18 years old and it has been everywhere. It has truly brought me good fortune and good luck. It's survived 135 ft. Bungy Jump into a river and 100 ft. Scuba Dive in Fiji. It will not be cremated with me when I croak and will go to my daughter. It's a 1880 Ten Dollar Gold Piece.

Lon, I don't wear a "tailsman" because there is no such word.

I used to wear a talisman, however, which was a wolf's tooth.

I can't think of any superstitions that I actually believe in, although I might joke about them sometimes.

Only when Friday the 13th falls in the month of February and on the second leap year and in an even century.

Nah, this stuff (black cats, walking under ladders, open umbrellas indoors) is not on my radar screen.
