Nope. If a black cat crosses your path, he's just going somewhere and if you walk under a ladder, you definitely are going somewhere.
Having raised two black cats for more than twenty years, I'd have to say that they have crossed my path many times. Plus, I have had two other black cats before them.
Keep in mind that black cats are good luck in Japan. And in Hispanic & Greek cultures, Tuesday the 13th is their unlucky day, as is Friday the 17th in Italy.
Just going over posts to recall and I did think of something about 'superstutions.' I find that I try to find the logic them. Like mentioned a black cat is just going somewhere if it passes your path or the possibility that the paint can my tip over and fall spilling all of its contents on you. The Feung Sway not having a bedroom over the kitchen makes sense if a fire was out of control the bedroom would get the most damage. I'm glad mine is directly under the bathroom.
Having a black cow is bad luck. She breaks fences, knocks over my tools, knocks me over, eats my shirt and anything else she can get her mouth on....
Yesterday, the high was around 63 degrees and a tornado blew through our area and it was the day Before Friday the 13th. Today IS Friday the 13th and it’s cold, wet and supposed to snow. I’m not sure which day was luckier: warm weather with a tornado or cold weather with snow.
The folks who made 13 a bad luck day might not have been good people. In numerology, 13 is a number associated with Karma rather than straight up bad luck. If you’re a good person, today is your day for good fortune and heaven sent blessings galore.
I think I am a pretty good person. I have had and have, many blessings in my life that I am very thankful for.
