A couple of posts (Cody and Chrissy) questioned the motivation behind women who chose men with tattoos.
In the animal kingdom, the females always base their choice on the male who is in charge and who shows the most virility.
In humans, nearly all females subconsciously or consciously choose the males for the same reason. Some may be swayed or go against their prime instincts due to the all too human power of reasoning but the primal reasons are still there.
Much like the peacock who displays and shakes his tail plumage in order to attract the hens, some human males believe the addition of tattoos will bring a quicker courtship as well.

Better watch it, Bobby, Chrissy might put you on "ignore" also. Only kidding, Chrissy. She just doesn't think the way we do, but that's fine.

I think @Chrissy Cross knows that I seldom write anything of a serious nature without doing the research so I do not believe she'll be upset by a differing view.
There are indeed some very wonderful ladies who look past tattoos, muscle and the bad boy attitudes in order to find their perfect mate just as there are males who aren't influenced by first impression looks but focus more on character and brains. If looks and tattoos come with the chosen package then it is what it is.

To me, the only kind of tattoo and the only place to place it is:

A pierced heart and the word "Mother" placed on the outside of the upper arm and nowhere else!

My favorite tattoo was of a Benedictine Monk wearing a tattoo of the Pancreas of a Malayan Jungle Lemur on his foot.

Saying "it looks painful and gross to me" doesn't sound very "to each his own" to me. But.

It does to me..just because you don't like something doesn't mean someone can't do it.

I don't care for rodeos but I don't care if you do...

Why did I have a feeling you were going to interject here? LOL

It just seems rather odd that there are those that can state "whatever" about what someone does, but at the same time, sound like they don't like it. The two "whatever" and "don't like it" just don't go together in the same sentence.
Even you're "don't care" doesn't necessarily go with "don't care if you do". Either a person is bothered by something or the person is not. Plain and simple (in my book anyway).

You can be bothered about things all you want but that's not going to stop it from happening...I don't get your point.

I don't like tattoos and would never get one but I'm not going to stop someone else from getting one or a bunch..it's not my business.

Was going to start a new thread, but decided to add a couple of things I was thinking about, to this one.

Ever heard of Zombie Boy? That is his stage name and he done a video with Lady GaGa. He died and Lady GaGa says he will really be missed...…….well "ok", but. This dude had tattoos all over him. Skull on his shaved head, his eye sockets tattooed in blue and on and on. The article about him stated just how many tattoos he had...…...all over him. Get a chance, look up Zombie Boy and possibly "freak out".

Another thing: Wonder why it is that some young folks absolutely refuse to get any tattoos, body piercings or where their baseball cap backwards, while others love all of it. I asked a teen in Loveland, when we were there, and he said "no way, just not that kind of kid". Interesting reply, but like it.
