I grocery shop in Charlottesville (about 1/2 hour drive) once a week, and used to lunch at a large Chinese buffet. They had a fire in the fall of 2021, and reopened in phases, starting with online ordering of carryout. Whenever I'd drive by, I would look to see if they had opened up for dine-in. Well, they finally did.

I usually time my errands so I eat there after the lunch rush. I drove out there today to have lunch and arrived at 1:15PM. They were packed. It seems I'm not the only one who missed the place. I am stuffed. I don't usually order appetizers when I have Chinese, but since it's a buffet, I pretty much ate one of everything...including "Chinese donuts" (because what's not to like about deep-fried balls of dough dredged in sugar?)

I am such a little pig. I guess dinner will be a salad...if I can waddle out to the kitchen and throw one together.

Well it’s only 7.33 am here so I’ve only just had breakfast I had about 1/2 cup of a mixed light cereal with milk ,and a cup of English breakfast tea .

Yesterday (Thursday) hubby cooked a small piece of pork leg in his mini Webber kettle and I cooked the veggies inside , I’m not a lover of BBQ meals I like to eat inside.

We would normally have a hot meal at “Tea time” but we decided on the hot meal at lunch time yesterday …..the left over pork that was really nice , will be used for a meal today

I had a small can of vegetarian chili and some cornbread left over from xmas. Later I had scrambled egg and bell pepper and onion and tomato. Love that stuff and I am not a big egg eater, I never eat breakfast but I do like omlet,'s and if the cats would do the cooking I might eat more of it.
