Leftover chicken, mixed with may, avocado. shredded carrots, red onion,spices-wrapped in high fiber wrap-. Few poatoa chips, and tea ( 1 mini butterfinger for dessert)
I went grocery shopping in Charlottesville this afternoon and stopped by a diner for lunch. It's the only place I can get a gyro without driving 40 miles into Richmond for one (which I've done)...and the waitresses call me "Hon." I had a Greek salad with lots of Feta, gyro meat, pita bread and onion rings. *burp*
more of a snack than lunch because finished breakfast around ten Chili cheese fritos- diet coke- before you judge= I have not had either in- I feel ex way more than a long time but the best is my fruit salad- banana, dark cherries, blueberries ,with nut mixture of - cashews, cranberries, pecans, and raisins.. tad of real cool whip feeling feisty
The Saturday before Thanksgiving, the church I used to go to makes and delivers Thanksgiving meals to about 125 folks in the area. Somehow my name got on the list, even though I have no problem cooking for myself. My meal got delivered yesterday, and I had it for lunch today. Dinner's gonna be light fare.
I had a doctor appointment near the big city, so went to a restaurant and had Vietnamese Noodle Soup (Pho.) It's a good meal on a chilly day.
My meals are uneventful and not really worth posting. Jake can eat what he wants, my diabetes controls my meals since I've never taken insulin or meds, just workout and low carbs. If I do have a high carb treat it cost me 20 to 30 minutes in warmups and lifting weights.
as I type and eat, 2 of the last frozen fish fillets - cooked til real crispy, last of some frozen fries, ketsup and seasoning and tea
I used the last of the turkey, and made turkey and vegetables with rice, and that is our main meal for today.
Grilled cheese sandwich and canned tomato soup. I always make my tomato soup with milk; otherwise, I can't eat it.
I ate at a place called Country Cooking that has a rather unique concept. -The waitress takes your order for the main meat and choice of potato -Your other sides (green beans, corn, etc) are self-serve from a buffet -You also get soups, salad, rolls and dessert (but no main dishes) from the buffet So I do the old guy thing...I order my entree and get a take-home box for it, then make a meal out of the soup/salad/dessert buffet. Dessert was a slice of apple pie with ice cream on top. It's a good deal...two meals for the price of one. Tipping is a little awkward because of the hybrid concept.
