look at that trailer. had he packed that full of explosive and set it off half of Nice is gone. that could easily happen here
Yes, that's always been a concern here. They seem to be stepping up their attacks. I wasn't worried about my flight on 9-11 to Illinois but maybe I should be. I'm not though...not yet anyway.
If I remember correctly, trucks started being a concern after Oklahoma City. At least that's when I recall hearing reports of concern over missing trucks or overdue rental trucks, but truck bombs were also used in the Beirut Marine Barracks attack in 1983 and the first World Trade Center attack in 1993. There have been a few package bomb scares over the past week or so, as well. I flew one time on September 11th after 9/11/01, and I was uneasy the whole time. I think they will use whatever means necessary to accomplish their goal, whether it's by plane, train (foiled in Belgium, at least), automobile, or still other methods. I live fairly close to a marine port, and it's a concern here.
most all of these Kamikaze pilots are poor, destitute and no way out so the terrorists recruit them to be martyr's and a better life in heaven
Hopefully security will be tighter this year on 9-11 considering all the recent attacks, if not well I've had a good life If I don't check in and my plane went into a building please don't say it was a conspiracy theory, I'll come and haunt you if you do.
Careful there, @Chrissy Page , yer naughty streak is showing. Actually it's probably more like a fun-loving streak, but... that's just a .... wait for it...... theory.
ha ha, truth is I love to argue and even If I believe what you've said, I won't say it. I have a fixed idea in my head and nothing will change it no matter what evidence is shown. I'll change when I'm good and ready or maybe not. I shouldn't have told you all this.
Are you available on 9-11? Coming back Oct. 8? My son got me 1st class tickets, think it's called business class now anyway I hope if it is hijacked they do it at the end of the trip and let me enjoy my trip. Actually being up front I'll be killed right away. I think things starting getting bad when it became suicide missions. I remember traveling before 9-11 and the biggest issue was to make sure that the person who put luggage on the plane actually got on the plane. Killings are much harder to pull off if you want to survive the crime. If you're willing to die, it becomes much easier.
Hello @Chrissy Page and everyone. I'm a long way from Nice in miles - but there emotionally. It's a town I know well as I lived very close by for 11 ears until I moved north 3 years ago. I've spoken to my friends there and they are all safe. The terrorist - Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel has been identified as an ISIS fanatic but not a practicing Muslim. But, of course, there has been an anti-muslim backlash due to ignorance and misinformation.
Sure, let's just sit and let it all happen. We don't need government and military. Let ISIS behead us all. Isn't building a wall government intervention? If the government doesn't protect you, who will? Crazy vigilantes? No thanks. We don't know how many terror attacks there would have been had the government not acted. It's always the same rhetoric but I don't hear any solutions ever. Can those that keep repeating these same messages tell me what the plan is? Believe me I fear my crazy neighbor more than the government. What am I missing? I really don't understand this position. If I listen to this reporter and don't let the terror attack influence me then what is the problem with muslims coming to our country? I'm not understanding the mixed message, Martin. Also, if you don't like government helping you or ruling over you, I think Somalia doesn't have much of a government....you could always move there. Is this a stupid question that I'm asking? All I want to know is who do you expect to protect you against terrorism?
