Caryn Elaine Johnson (Whoopi) is in a mess after slandering a family owned Staten Island bakery that refused her birthday order to make 50 Charlotte Russe desserts because they had been having boiler issues in their 1930s building and did not want to make a promise they could not follow through on. Caryn had a friend call days later and they accepted the order, but by then the boilers had been repaired. Comcast has apparently decided to sell MSNBC since it is doing so poorly now. Rumors have been flying that Elon Musk might be interested, and several others have also expressed interest. The latest that i am hearing is that Musk and Donald Trump Jr. are considering whether or not to purchase it. If they did buy it , they could gradually start putting more real news on and people would still be watching it and maybe realize that they have been misled by propaganda all this time, since they would be seeing real news that is actually happening and not doctored up sound bites.
I have read this as well @Yvonne Smith. I am sure they could get a real good price on it, and could turn it into a more public version of X. Maybe Don, Jr. would be made CEO of the new channel whatever it is called.
Now, Joe Rogan said he wants to have Rachael Maddow’s position . He said he will “wear the same glasses and tell the same lies”. People are already coming up with new ideas for the name of the new news corporation, and most of the ideas feature a large X in the design, so this is really catching on, whether it ever actually happens or not. Russell Brand wants to host Morning Joe ! (More incoming) I can see people like Alex Jones, and maybe even Tucker Carlson having shows on the new television station, and probably a lot of the other people who now make news videos and podcasts. Elon and Vivek would put their weekly DOGE news on TV , too, for more Americans to see. Trump has said that he will be bringing in journalists, media influencers, and podcasts into the newsroom once he starts doing the news as President, and not just the regular media news people.
I was just reading about Rachael Madcow signing a new contract for $25-30 million a year to be on ONE NIGHT A WEEK. What the actual hell? No wonder that stupid network is going under. I never watch MSNBC; it pretty much does not exist in my world... but I find this astonishing.
Was that a reduction from her prior contract? I saw reference to her losing $5mil/year but no details.
